Negative value guy. You have to give away a prospect or pick for someone to take him. Vegas isn't going to waste an expansion pick on him either. Probably better to just bury him in the AHL or pray that he hits on a hot streak and they can move him for "future considerations".

Jimmy to AHL soon...with Ace and Vatrano finally pushing him out. Injuries have saved his @#@.

We can hope- he reminds of what minor-leaguer Brett Seguin once said about a teammate of his on the Austin Icebats:

"NHL body, AHL skills, Pee-wee heart"- though it isn't entirely accurate or fair in Hayes' case, he has the first two but something is definitely lacking.

That is the greatest hockey quote I have ever heard.

I would not worry about the expansion draft right now, just get this guy gone and soon. If he can't be traded then waive him and send him to the AHL, they can still leave him unprotected and this way he is not hurting the team. Wish we could get rid of him, Nash, Khudobin, K miller and McQuaid. Fire Julien for his insistence on these type of players and Sacco for just being garbage as a coach.

It's a great quote, was that from Zamboni Rodeo?

So who is to blame for why Jimmy Hayes is playing.

I don't believe there are extra forwards, (i.e. a player sitting each game like there is a defensemen (Joe Morrow)). So all the forwards play.
Claude has no choice to play Hayes. So is it Sweeneys fault because Don does not send Hayes down and give Claude another option ?

Hayes on the PP is all on Claude though.

Perhaps all teams have this type of player, but every year, their seems to be a player getting significant amounts of ice time, that do not produce that has everyone wondering why they are playing. You all know who they were in the past, and this year it is Hayes.

A possible temporary solution for our coach: play C. Miller at RW and sit the Dorchester boy. Play Morrow on 3rd pairing. Worth a try.

It's not the worst idea but I would go with McQuaid up front, more aggressive and I like C.Miller as a power play point. And before anybody says McQuaid will never score and is to slow he is replacing Hayes so the argument is invalid.

Maybe if they ran a power play of Marchand-Backes-Pastrnak-Miller-Krug it may do something crazy like score once in a while, run a second of Spooner-Bergeron-Pastrnak (yup double shifting one of the better goal scorers in the league) Krecji-Morrow. I know the Hayes family will be disappointed not having Jimmy getting power play time but that will be available to him in Providence or Hartford.

Colin Miller needs to be opposite Krug on powerplay for one timers.Julien needs to wakeup in this regard.

To pose a question, when 1 of Vatrano/Acciari come back from injury, who will be the first guy out of the line up: Hayes or Blidh?

I know it might seem like a "no brainer" and I DO trust Clode will make the right decision...but cant help feeling a little nervous though.

I'm thinking Czarnik (sp).

Reilly Smith sucks again if it makes anyone feel any better about Jimmy.

Smith is owed $25 M over next 5 years for bi-polar play

Florida probably would like to bail out of that for $3.4 owed Hayes through next season

Florida could save over $20 M for a bottom 6 tease
