I mean he loses who - Hamonic, Dickinson etc and he has to move players that don't fit into those roles, into those roles and hope it works. JR/Allvin did nothing to really help Bruce this season. They kept Miller, added two wingers and then took away some responsibility on defense in the process because of the crappy cap situation they're in.

How is that Bruce's fault?

Even funnier when JR is Alvin's mentor, he was never close to being ready. He just plucked his yes man and called it a win.

JR lost his bananas years ago.
hell of a mentor.
I feel for some of these clown shows that Canadians have to go through. This is embarrassing.

This guy is a terrible GM.
He had a solid two year run in Pittsburgh before reverting back to crap after the second cup. But 2014, 2015 and 2016 were solid years - he was by far the best GM the Pens had based off of those years. Ray Shero and Ron Hextall can’t even read.

We went from "Canucks are gonna be great because of Bruce" at the end of last year to "Bruce sucks, fire him" 10 games into this year. The knee jerk extremes are a little ridiculous don't know think?
Don't forget that Vancouver also quietly has the deepest forward group in the league as well.

He deserves to be thrown under the bus

this idiot's lineup decisions border on negligence.
Plus Vancouver is back to leading the league in odd-man rushes against.

Pearson lead the league for a majority of season in minors and never got scracthed
Stillman I can confidently say is one of the worst defenceman I have ever seen......Like Luca sbisa level of trash.
nobody in Vancouver can explain his lineup decisions
Huh? The first two games is the majority of the season?

I don’t understand why he is still coaching. is management and the owners trying to force him out? Aquaman is still paying two coaches? He is known to be cheap. Thus he is trying to force Bruce to resign lol. What a gong show in Vancouver. There is always something going on there.

So much for “quietly a top team in the West”

I am just confused if management doesn't like a coach why not fire him? Why keep a lame duck coach who knows management hates him and thinks he is the problem. Bruce is going to keep collecting paychecks, but it seems like management is blaming the coach. So is it not on management the teams record when they are allowing a guy they think isn't doing a good job to run things?

What's happening in Vancouver is bizarre IMO. When they hired Bruce they went something like 34-15-10 to end the season. I thought they'd be a sure-fire wildcard team this year. They're decent enough on paper, and Bruce is a top 10 coach in the league if you ask me.

I think there is a serious chemistry issue in the locker-room. Looks like JR is committing to a tank this year based off his comments, and I can't blame him. Go for Bedard/Michkov/Fantilli

Jim Rutherford strikes me as a very difficult person to get along with. After all his departure from Pitt was filled with questions. He didn't hire Boudreau and now it seems he's throwing a tantrum because ownership won't give him the ok to hire his own guy.

Rutherford doesn't seem to have ownership permission to fire Boudreau. They hired him and they still like him.

During his time in Carolina, JR was infamous for sending messages through the media. Every summer he would casually comment that so-and-so could easily be replaced if he couldn't come to terms on the contract.

It's a very old school approach and in the era of social media, maybe even more powerful than it used to be. Now everyone kind of assumes that Boudreau's firing is a done deal already, so it becomes a self fulfilling situation.

Aquillini runs and manages the team. It's really that simple.
