Fantastic game by Wheels, he was everywhere. Excellent games by Buff, JoMo and Myers... Boy did they step up! The other 3 must have been decent too cause I didn't notice them much.
MikeMikeMikeMikeMike was steady. Didn't have to be great.
I think this team feeds off Brandon Tanev's energy.
Nice goal by Pate but he's been pretty one-dimensional this year.
I know the Pk's rollin but we still take too many penalties.
The team just keep's on truckin man.
Maybe you are right, but that one dimension is the MOST important aspect of the game.
He is just starting now to be a game breaker. We will see it more as he matures and learn that he can take over a game anytime he wants. We see flashes of it in 1.5 years now. Also Laine when you watch him play he scans the ice, he is not most of the average hockey players who goes where the pucks are. He tries to see where it's going to go next. Also he normally one of the first forward back on a defensively play, so I think he might not be 1 dimensional at all. He'll get better
1 more goal to 60 goals for career.
I see Laine, when everything is on the line and both teams are playing a chess match. Nobody wants to make a mistake, and a goal is needed to get you over the edge - he buries one. That is Patrik Laine and he is a Winnipeg Jets
Then flood gates open for Ehlers, Connor, Schiefele, Roslo, Wheeler, Perrault, Little
The team is build for a long run, I hope Wheeler and Little will get to play through it and still be a key part. It's too bad for Enstrom, he might be the odd man out starting next year.
Penalties, baby steps - we improved from last year. Though we need another PK person to compliment Tanev and Hendrick. They are being bombarded with shots, though most are not high danger zone shots. So maybe there is a science behind the strategy of these 2
