Very good effort from the whole team. It seems that Jets have all the pieces now. Key players injured and they keep coming like the Borg. This game was a statement for the rest of the league: Resistance is futile!

I needed the flames to hold their lead and to also maybe get an empty netter for a nice windfall... I blink and they folded like a cheap pre-folded piece of paper that auto folds on it's own....

That was a classic collapse, yikes.
Oh man, not good. But I would never have made that wager in 1000 years. Flames are not a playoff team this year

It sounds funny but this team plays better with Tanev in the lineup. I thought his hard fore checks on Tampa defenceman threw them off quite a bit.
He is in fact a very good role player. Nothing fancy about him. But man does he get the job done, that he is supposed to do! An absolute joy to watch him forechecking and finishing his checks. Sure he is lacking pretty much offensive skills, but with his speed he can still sometimes get a goal here and there. And it’s anyway the other things that he brings so well to the Jets play. Still probably way too underrated as a player.

Somewhere nice
Fantastic game by Wheels, he was everywhere. Excellent games by Buff, JoMo and Myers... Boy did they step up! The other 3 must have been decent too cause I didn't notice them much.

MikeMikeMikeMikeMike was steady. Didn't have to be great.

I think this team feeds off Brandon Tanev's energy.

Nice goal by Pate but he's been pretty one-dimensional this year.

I know the Pk's rollin but we still take too many penalties.

The team just keep's on truckin man.

Maybe you are right, but that one dimension is the MOST important aspect of the game.
He is just starting now to be a game breaker. We will see it more as he matures and learn that he can take over a game anytime he wants. We see flashes of it in 1.5 years now. Also Laine when you watch him play he scans the ice, he is not most of the average hockey players who goes where the pucks are. He tries to see where it's going to go next. Also he normally one of the first forward back on a defensively play, so I think he might not be 1 dimensional at all. He'll get better ;) 1 more goal to 60 goals for career.

I see Laine, when everything is on the line and both teams are playing a chess match. Nobody wants to make a mistake, and a goal is needed to get you over the edge - he buries one. That is Patrik Laine and he is a Winnipeg Jets :)

Then flood gates open for Ehlers, Connor, Schiefele, Roslo, Wheeler, Perrault, Little :) :) :)

The team is build for a long run, I hope Wheeler and Little will get to play through it and still be a key part. It's too bad for Enstrom, he might be the odd man out starting next year.

Penalties, baby steps - we improved from last year. Though we need another PK person to compliment Tanev and Hendrick. They are being bombarded with shots, though most are not high danger zone shots. So maybe there is a science behind the strategy of these 2 :)

Roslo is going to be an amazing player. His game is already so mature and on a couple plays I thought he was Ehlers.
Ehlers, well If he can start getting a few breaks he’s going to lights up the league. Amazing talent.
And finally Poolman. Love his game. So steady. I feel very safe when he’s back there.

Another adjCorsi and xGF win for the Jets...pretty good game against a pretty good team :sarcasm:. Jets just pulled away in the 2nd and 3rd after a bit of a shaky start.

xGF% > 502142.8159145+46

xGF% < 50996.5007691-15

The Jets have won the adjCorsi 30/51 times and won the xGF 27/51 times. They're crushing it (.750+) when they win the Corsi or xG battle. They're also putting up a pretty good fight when losing the Corsis and xG, maintaining a .500+ record.

Solid game for the Jets. 58% CF (5v5)

Folks, this looks like a very well-coached team. It's time to start acknowledging that more. I've been skeptical of Maurice's ability to coach a talented roster like this, but he's got them playing an organized game, with a lot of consistency and hard work.

Really liked Buff's play tonight. Why can't he play like that more consistently?

Roslovic is a dandy.

Lowry's line with a big defensive performance.

Myers has rounded into a very good form.

Hard to argue with Tanev's place in the line-up. He makes an impact almost every game.

Love watching Ehlers play. The great thing is that a high percentage of his breath-taking rushes or shifts end up with good scoring chances.

Wheeler's best game in a while. He was outstanding and drove that line like he needs to.

Yup I saw him live when the Jets were in Vancouver and I could not believe how fast he was. I laughed when I read the posts calling him down.

This is the best learning experience for Roslovic, playing well on a top team in the NHL, got a chance to slow what he could do and has moved up the pecking order, when Chef comes back and hopeful that we don't have any more injuries who draws the short straw?

Buff was feisty from the get go - I don't know if Gourde was instructed to try to get under Buff's skin to draw a penalty, but even though he ended up taking one, I think it backfired overall because Buff was pretty engaged all game...I'd try to avoid poking that particular bear if I were facing the Jets.

Yup. I like the riled up Buff, when he's under control as he was for the most part tonight. He's a difference maker.

Roslo is the only one who can go down without clearing waivers I believe
