If I was able to set the lines I wouldn’t play Scheifele and Wheeler. I just don’t spend half my waking life complaining about it.

Agree completely, far too many low quality shots from D men tonight. It's not like we didn't get possession time, could have cycled the puck more to look for better shots.

Yeah it was a good game but they should have converted all that zone time into better chances, I wouldn't be surprised if the zone time numbers for this game were totally lopsided in favor of the Jets. This should be easy to fix.

Fun game to watch - wouldn't want to be the coach.

The lines were interesting if nothing else - I assume that is the last we will see of that 3rd line.

PLD looks really good out there - playing a heavy team like the Stars and he was still ploughing through bodies.

Felt sorry for Harkins on that goal - got double pumped into a pretzel.

Still a little lost in our zone at times - lost coverage seems to be the main issue.

Comrie holding up well - great to see him win a couple - solid game (and shootout)

Again, fun to watch - we are tightening up a few of the issues with each game - get the lines back in order and we'll be fine.

Comrie wasn't bad, but I think Berdin should get the next start. He choked towards the end of the game, that's what I find bothers me so much about him is he chokes so poorly.

Comrie is miles better than Joey Daccord anyway, never seen a goalie let in such soft goals.

But Dubois, he just impresses me. I'm probably gonna buy his jersey next game.

22 out of the Jets 48 shot attempts were from d-men. 4 out of the 5 guys on the Jets with the most shot attempts were d-men. Our D did such a great job killing our offense tonight with dumb shots. The sequences in the 2nd when Dillon and Schmidt both took dumb shots when the stars were caught out on the icing were bad, esp the one with Dillon when they had Klingberg caught on a nearly 2 minute shift and Dillon took a muffin from the point into Holtby's glove.

I liked parts of their game but still really messy in parts.

Another solid game by Wheeler. I liked the look of that line, they had some chances where they couldn't get the shot off, that will change as 55 gets to game speed. Wheeler immediately improves the PP with hard crisp passes (that Morrissey goal happens in part due to how quickly he moved the puck from the goal line to the point). I'd like to see Lowry on that line for a bit more.

I agree on your Wheeler take - he looks good out there and has some jump. His play making was solid - his passing was dead on.

People can criticize and still enjoy games... what a weird take.

Agreed.
The Jets are a frustrating team to watch and frankly their poor team defence is going to catch up with them.
This feels more like a loss as they were in control of the game but pissed it away.

yea, people can enjoy wins and criticize the team but when 99% of someones posts are criticizing the team, going into games saying how they are doomed and going to lose you have to question if they are truly enjoying them, especially with an avatar like that

I don't think I've ever seen him post before a game has started saying 'they are doomed and going to lose'. Can you point me to this?

Personally I think Helly should get the next start. 3 Days to celebrate you baby should be enough. Helly will be back Friday.

For the record, I am absolutely a blast to watch games with. I actually have a waiting list for folks wanting to watch games with me, if you want I can sneak you in for the next viewing? :naughty:
That's okay. I'll just take your word for it.

Game was a lot closer than people think:

Lots of shots, lots of them very low quality though. Good game regardless, was fun to watch
So is this telling me that Comrie stoned Holtby in this game? The problem with Quant is that garbage in equals garbage out.
In this game the Jets outplayed the Stars for the first 15 minutes of the game, most of the second period and the early part of the third, and then sat on their lead. They looked great in OT.
It was their best game of the year.

Post-Game Talk: - Cali nightmares Jets lose 4-3

it was in a pgt but he's done it in pgt as well, he's also been called out for being overly negative towards the jets. people brought up the avatar he uses which he claimed he was going to change it but the jets were playing better and he didn't want to jinx it, that was from before the nhl shut down with covid

Statistically he's not wrong though and we did end up losing that game pretty handedly iirc. Score was close, but advanced stats were not. Also seriously, complaining about an avatar? That's kind of petty. Long story short if it bothers you that much, just ignore him so you don't see his posts. It's nice to have different viewpoints on a forum.

Anyways, fun game tonight. Could have gone either way and was fun to watch, which is enough for me. Have a great night everyone and see you all next game :naughty:
