A roller coaster ride, but in the end the good guys won. Happy for Comrie.

It was a shootout. How not close did people think it was, because that's literally as close to undecided as the NHL allows

Seen a few folks saying the 'Jets dominated and deserved to win'. Really could have gone either way.

Anyways, happy we won. Comrie was solid and liking these new lines a lot better.

Great first 2 periods. Good win.

This team shouldn't try to go into a shell when they have the lead. They're more effective being offensive. It doesn't matter if it will work here or there, they'll win more often playing the game that they're effective at.

Comrie was good. Ehlers, Dubois, Connor, are a treat to watch. I thought Morrissey was strong as well. Toninato and Harkins had a few shifts where they were wreaking havoc.

I'll say it again; 3 scoring lines is a treat. If Maurice absolutely needs Lowry in the top 9, stick with this.

They deserved to win but hockey is a sport that doesn’t always reward the better team in a game. It ended up being close but we pulled it out and most fans just enjoy those nights.

Yep. I don't agree with deserved to win though and the stats don't either, but it was close and fun to watch :thumbu:

22 out of the Jets 48 shot attempts were from d-men. 4 out of the 5 guys on the Jets with the most shot attempts were d-men. Our D did such a great job killing our offense tonight with dumb shots. The sequences in the 2nd when Dillon and Schmidt both took dumb shots when the stars were caught out on the icing were bad, esp the one with Dillon when they had Klingberg caught on a nearly 2 minute shift and Dillon took a muffin from the point into Holtby's glove.

I liked parts of their game but still really messy in parts.

Another solid game by Wheeler. I liked the look of that line, they had some chances where they couldn't get the shot off, that will change as 55 gets to game speed. Wheeler immediately improves the PP with hard crisp passes (that Morrissey goal happens in part due to how quickly he moved the puck from the goal line to the point). I'd like to see Lowry on that line for a bit more.

Well they've given up a two goal lead three times already this year, which is obviously a concern with their prevent defence. But a good win nonetheless. We saw what they are capable of for long stretches tonight, and that's an exciting thing.

Also, another Comrie win! He's had two solid starts so far, which is assuaging some of my fears heading into the season.

Agree completely, far too many low quality shots from D men tonight. It's not like we didn't get possession time, could have cycled the puck more to look for better shots.

Woohoo we win!

My prediction thread work was a game early, but acknowledgement is necessary:

I predicted Scheifele for today's opening goal and the empty Twoque-Trick in a 4-2 win, but hey I am ok with the Scheifele shuffle for the 4-3 shoot-out winner.

I give this game 3 Luc Stamps of Approval plus 2 1/2 Stamps of Approval for the beast of a performance by Pierre-Luc Dubois and the Jets in OT.

P.S. A big thank you to

to lock it down in the shoot-out.
