That's a call all day and yet the ref's let it go

It was a real quick shoulder to the face, Forbert was rubbing the left side of his face for a bit, pretty sneaky by Hoglander imho...
But Forbert has a fuse on him for sure..

That Canucks depth is even worse than the 2011-14 Jets. Just straight up stinks. How the hell does Benning still have a job?

Might've been driven by media narrative but it sounded like he pissed off a couple of his bright spots in their core too.
Tanev and Markstrom were both very well liked I guess.

To his credit he layed out to block Boesser's shot late in the game and get a whistle.
I thought he was slightly better this game.
But I still cursed his name a few times.

I was nervous every time he was on the ice in the 3rd period, because you could see a scoring chance develop. Don't know how you replace him in the lineup, with the only roster spot left being Vesalainen's, and he is just a place holder for Dubois. We managed to hold down a lead all game, but boy did the Jets become passive with that lead. Thank God Pionk is a star. Him and Morrissey ate up a lot of plays tonight, which was good to see. Forbort was strong tonight too. Adam Lowry's line was again probably the best in both ends. Brossoit with a confident goaltending performance, which was key to an important road victory.

Hopefully the weather changes around here.

Great 1st period
Second period the Canucks out played them badly but Bro stood tall
Third period was a nail biter, Canucks had lots of chances but no finish.
The Jets have a horrific time getting the puck out. Whatever happened to using the boards rather than the middle of the ice to clear it?
They did grind out the win but there is still much work to be done!

Bro Swat!
Both goalies very good.

That might have been Jets most complete game of the season. Easily could have had 4-5 more goals if Nucks played like they did earlier in the season.

The D played well. I think Jets were hemmed into their own end just one shift before the 3rd period. 2-3 more times in the 3rd when Van was pressing hard. But they managed to hang on those times, giving up a lot of zone time but not too many good scoring chances.

Brossoit particularly good in that last 30 seconds of the first when Van had 4 quick SOG. He earned that SO. :thumbu:

Bro was absolutely fantastic.

Pionk is also absolutely fantastic. This guy is turning into something special. Lord knows we need it.

Glad seeing Apples get the EN. That guy plays a type of game that everyone can love and appreciate. Works his ass off, has speed, size, reach, plays an honest game, the list goes on. The development of some of these guys is something else.

We were very fortunate at the end as I thought the refs could’ve given one or even two penalties to the Jets just at the start of the scrum

I'm quite sure it won't happen, but I sure would like to see Brossoit back in on Sunday night. He deserves it.

He deserves a start against Montreal but with the time off after Sunday I'd rather start Hellebuyck, I'm fairly sure he's not great after sitting too long.
