Our coach is a f***ing idiot that is all. Yeah let's demote Perfetti for Harkins because Jansen scores off of a beauty play by Cole to send him in alone. That and starting captain does nothing all game Wheeler at OT.

Other then that a good enough road game by the team but they can't afford to drop any points against a team they are chasing.

I've got no problems with how Wheeler or Scheifele played OT but I will question why Wheeler was out there over any combination of ANY centre + Connor to start OT.

Well it was Wheeler who caused the turnover that led to Scheif’s breakaway…. So I’m not sure this is the time to question it. They almost won the game for us.

 Well someone’s mad that is usually pretty level headed.

Idk, I didn’t think Perfetti was that noticeable up until that goal. But it may have been more about getting the lines into something more appealing this game. Although I do think Perfetti should have at least split some time with Harkins.

And they'll almost be in a playoff spot at the end of the season :dunno:

I just don't think Wheeler's production justifies being out there to start OT at this point.

Well which is it? Is tonight the problem or all the other nights? Because tonight it wasn’t an issue and people are just looking for the lowest hanging fruit.

I mean that's the problem with hypotheticals, they almost won. Maybe Connor and Scheifele out there to start actually wins it?

They didn't win and while Wheeler played fine in OT I think someone else could have been a better option.

No one was that noticeable as it was a grinding type game. He still was still doing a lot of the little things well. Harkins did f*** all nothing until he was sent in alone and then skated around accomplishing nothing after.

Yeah let's send a message to the kid who got us back in it instead of the pile of shit that Wheeler was all night. One decent shift in OT doesn't change the rest of his game.

The catastrophizing is something else. Our chances of making the playoffs went up a little bit after Minnesota. They went down slightly less after dropping this in OT. We're still about the same 3:1 - 4:1 dogs to make it that we were before. So no, this game did not 'end the season'.

And also, I shouldn't have to say it, but no, it is not the case that "single points are meaningless". The difference between 1-1-0 and 0-0-2 is so small as to be irrelevant.

Two games in a row we've been about 3:2 dogs going in. We're 1-0-1 in those. Just how easy do y'all think it is to win in the NHL?

Interim coach soon to be ex coach when the Jets miss the playoffs, I don't see the Jets stringing wins together, tonight they needed a clean win same goes for tomorrow losing or tie's just puts another nail in the hopes of post season play

Is there another 2 goal forward in the league other than Wheeler who starts for his team in overtime? Especially head scratching when you have Connor sitting on the bench

Overtime leaves a lot of open ice, so you "must" use your speed and hands guys, like Connor, Dubois, Scheifele, Morrisey, and Ehlers. Why the coach would allow Wheeler in OT, is beyond me ?

Also think Perfetti did not get enough ice time. I don't think this coach will last long.

Yep, that game is on Lowry. Terribly coached game on the 1st night of a b2b. Junior league bench management.
He’s is absolutely not what this team needs going forward.

Wheeler was hustling to the point where he was completely gassed. Scheifele is younger of course but never gassed because he doesn't put in the effort. Lazy player.

I've mentioned to friends of mine, the interim tag needs to stay on lowry. Let alone the rest of the staff.
