Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

Given his KHL play and age when he gets here I'm sure he'd be ready for the NHL like a bunch of similar Russian players. If he's not put him on the AHL but i think he'd be good to go.
I’d like to see Chevy sign another Russian or 2 to give Rashevsky some company. Someone like Namestnikov.

Rashevsky's numbers look similar to Kuzmenko's and he seems to be doing well in Vancouver.
Of course he is older and Vancouver had room for him, but I hope he comes over next year. Too many bodies for the musical chairs game is a good problem to have.
Lots of lamenting about D prospects being blocked, but again with Vancouver they just had to make a trade for an injury fill in because they have nothing in their prospect pipeline. Rather have the Jets problem.

Sweden and Czechia playing in the Three Nations Cup right now. Wagner has 2 goals going into the 3rd. Salomonsson not playing. I'd assume Salomonsson has a good shot for making Juniors and Wagner is on the bubble, so a good showing could go a long way for him.

Real nice shot on one of those Wagner goals too.

After scoring 0 points in the first 9 games of the season, Elias Salomonsson playing on the second pair has quietly put up 5 points in his last 8 games. His team sits a respectable 3rd in the SEL. Also would like to remind everybody of his late August birthday. He just turned 18 a little over two months ago. He is starting to get my attention. But that might be the desperation talking. I have waited for a decent right handed defensive prospect in the system for so long.

Even more impressive- he leads all d-men on the team with ~58% Corsi playing 16 mins a night.

For comparison

Nils Lundqvist was ~50% Corsi and 4th best on his team in his draft + 1 season

Moritz Seider was ~60% and best on his team in his draft + 2 season

Edvinsson: Detroit's 6th overall pick from 2021 was 55% in D+1, 3rd best on his team

I don't think it is desperation, he seems like a real prospect at this point.

2G 1A for Zhilkin tonight and first star of the game as well. Didn't realize he was wearing an 'A' this year too.

I half wonder if he would have been better suited for the AHL this year.
He should be on the Moose next year for sure, as he is eligible with the late birthday. This is looking like a real good pick by our scouts. As a dual citizen who already has a U-18 gold under his belt, any chance of him cracking Team Canada's junior roster this year?

Have to imagine he is in the conversation. He is leading the team in points (17GP and 20pts) and is very strong defensively. The Storm are one of the worst teams in the league and the goal differential is a godawful -32 (starting goalie GAA is 5.05 and sv%842). So Zhilkin isn't getting easy looks every night yet he is still over a point-per-game and a reasonable -6 +/-. So maybe a role at 3C or 4C on TC isn't completely absurd?

Was hoping McGroarty could at least maintain a PPG this year, but after the hot scoring start it's fallen quite a bit, here's hoping he pots another hat trick game soon.

Just a note on a forgotten prospect; Vesalainen has cut ties with his SHL team, back in Liiga with HIFK where he has 1 assist in 2 games.

Forever reminded he was selected instead of Nick Suzuki  Chevy traded the pick to hold onto Enstrom for one season.
Not sure if we would have taken Suzuki there, I think I remember whispers about us liking Liljegren....but in hindsight boy would he be nice to have over a bust right now..

I believe @garret9 at that time suggested something to the tune of Jets very likely taking Liljegren if he was available at 13 based on his sources.

I just meant the pick we traded was used to select Nick Suzuki.

I believe that was some time earlier. May have changed by draft day, or not. Still, Liljegren would be better than nothing.
