I've said it before, but Lucius is a good skater. The idea that it's a weakness of his is outdated.

Lucuis just walked that one D and then made some moves in the corner and skated around the other D. He looks really good out here which is good

He has decent top speed when he gets going but he spends too much time floating around. I have to say he concerns me a lot as a player. I don't see top end tools nor do I see a player who plays with enough pace or battle for the next level. He's a very passive player most times I see him. He has bursts like that one shift in the second where he looks like he wants to be assertive and fight but the rest of the time he's largely invisible and losses races and puck battles pretty consistiently.

So trade him with our 1st if we have to replace PLD?

Wagner showing some nice speed in the Sweden game.

Sandin-Pellikka is on my draft wishlist for this upcoming draft.

Canada's really playing the body on Lambert. 3:30 into the game and he's been hit 4 times.

Any chance that Lambert gets reassigned after the worlds?

I would have had him in Seattle this season if that helps. I don’t have any pull though so there’s that challenge.

You think the Jets are going to send him back to junior? Has that ever happened? Maybe too late was overstated but no way I am going to do the research with a Xmas Day hangover.

I wouldn't have said boo to it being extremely unlikely.
I agree he will stay with the Moose and they will continue to work with him.
I hope he finds his stride against Jrs at the WJC - but I won't be surprised if he does not. He is a project.

McGroarty and Lucius have been officially registered at the WJHC at 200lbs and 185lbs, respectively. Pretty solid, but I wonder if it's true.

Both 6' even.

Also, Lucius and Lambert are their team's X-factor.

For all of the fans that were gnashing their teeth last season because Nathan Smith didn’t sign with us then started out pretty hot for the Coyotes. This season he is a full time AHL player averaging .5 PPG as a 24 year old so it doesn’t seem like the odds are in his favour that he’s going to be an NHL asset.

Off the top of my head the Oilers kept Draisaitl on the parent club in his D +1 season for 37 games, released him to play for Germany in the world juniors, then reassigned him to junior. PA traded him to Kelowna where Leon thrived and got them to the memorial cup final.

It’s rare but it can happen.

Thing is Seattle is loaded so Lambert would be surrounded by his piers. He would not be the best player on that team by any means but he might finally discover his scoring touch but that is far from a given. He is only 18 and currently fans are overrated him if they think he is above that level. That is exactly where 18 year olds should be playing.

IMBO we are dropping the ball.

I realize I am on repeat cycle here so I will leave it at that.
