High motor average speed. He uses his hands to try to go through defensemen more often than trying to go around them. Pretty shifty, can switch directions and use small bursts to get himself out of trouble. But yeah, more than anything he just doesn't stand still very often.I love that he has such a nose for the net. We really need a couple players like that.
Good to see that he’s still keeping up his pace from last year.
I’m curious what is his skating like for those that have followed him closely?
I have seen some highlights of Manalaenen in Carolina/ and Charlotte AHL games. He looks more involved and engaged than Vaseline ever has. Hopefully he shows above average in TC and gets a shot with the Jets. Bye-bye KV-jelly Vasaline man.Looking forward to seeing Saku Mäenalanen in Jets training camp. He had a really good season last year for Karpat Liiga. Big, fast, hard to play against. I think he slots in nicely on the third line, could move up in a pinch.
10:02 is the most minutes he's played in a game, 4:46 the fewest. I haven't noticed a game that he wasn't bottom 3 in TOI yet.Does anyone know if Chibrikov has any meaningful minutes in his KHL games so far this year?
I think Salomonsson got injured today. Less than 3 minutes of ice time in a blowout win. 6 SOG and decent ice time in the previous 4 games, so the points will probably come.No points for Rashevsky or Salomonsson today. Little surprised that Salomonsson doesn't have a point through 5 games, really looked like they were planning on leaning on him offensively in the Champions League tournament and Skelleftea has been scoring a decent amount.
Didn't look at the sheet, thanks for the update! He took a penalty 14 minutes into the game, would expect him to have cleared 3 minutes by that point.I think he got injured today. Less than 3 minutes of ice time in a blowout win.
He did not dress for his VHL team today. No Chibrikov in his KHL lineup today, his VHL team plays tomorrow so we'll see if he pops up there.
2 assists for Rash today in Eric O'Dell's 4 goal game
Serious question, would a average AHL squad be competitive in the KHL?The concerning part is Eric O'Dell scoring 4 goals in this league.
Probably not, but IIRC there can be quite a difference in team strength in the KHL so some of the bottom feeders are probably AHL caliber.Serious question, would a average AHL squad be competitive in the KHL?

By style, you mean no hitting pond hockey? Its a style difference not a skill level thing. The style there suits Eric O'Dell so he produces
No worse than Eric Boulton scoring 3 in the NHL.The concerning part is Eric O'Dell scoring 4 goals in this league.
