Button of TSN has Jets’ top 10 prospects as follows:
1 Heinola
2 Samberg
3 Lucius
4 Chibrikov
5 Gustafsson
6 Chisholm
7 Kuzmin
8 Berdin
9 Torgersson
10 Gawanke
yeah. i'd agree with the whole list if he'd delete berdin and add rashevskyInteresting that Rashevsky isn’t on the list.
I'd put Gawanke tied with/right behind Chisholm and push everyone else down. Those two have been driving the Moose all year. Yes more than Samberg, but Samberg's game seems to be translating really well. Then I'd put Rashevsky 6 and push everyone else down again. Torgersson vs Berdin is difficult for 10, Torgersson has a higher floor and Berdin has a higher ceiling. Rather than continuing to write I'll just give my own list.Button of TSN has Jets’ top 10 prospects as follows:

Korchinski is a very interesting option around our pick. Top ~15 is really strong.Tyrel Bauer's Seattle Thunderbirds have started the WHL playoffs with two convincing victories, 6-0 and 7-3. Bauer so far has no goals, or apples, but sits +4, with 4 PIM. His d-partner, Kevin Korchinski, who is draft eligible this year, has had a pretty good start, with 1 goal (PP) and 5 assists, +4, in 2 games.
Thanks for the detailed recap, very much appreciated.Just got out of the OS/Flint game. Kuzmin impressed. First time seeing him and he is definitely on the smaller side but still not tiny. He does protect the puck surprisingly well for his size and I found he had really great vision and patience with the puck in his end. He was on the ice for the first goal against but missed it as I was grabbing a beer and missed the replay so not sure what the breakdown was.
His play in his end is good given his size and playstyle. Good active stick and positioning. Did a decent job boxing out his man up front. Does a good job protecting the puck, shows good patience and makes a good first pass out of the zone. He does default to the flip out if there isn’t anything to pass to. When he skates with the puck he does so really well. He didn’t really open it up too much but I found when he did skate in and get bottlenecked at the blue line, he would just crank it at the goalie which may throw off the forwards depending if they are expecting a dump and chase or wrap around. Not a terrible thing, just found he did it more than I’ve seen most defenders do. He did get burned in deep but recovered nicely and backchecked hard to knock the puck away. He has decent speed and it showed.
One thing I really noted was his anticipation away from the puck. He read the play really well and you could see him expecting the coming pass when he was defending allowing him to intercept or simply break it up. I was very impressed with his ability to do that.
His offence is very nice. He knows when to activate and shows very nice patience on the offensive blue line and even showed some nice dancing along it to get around some pressure to get a shot off or pass. He had a great pass for Flints 4th goal that I didn’t even see as a option that ultimately got called off because of an offside but otherwise was a great play.
He saw more and more time as the game went on. He started 2nd line LD but he had to have played 4 min of the last 6 getting double shifted, protecting the lead which says a lot of his game and confidence from the coach.
No glaring negatives that I saw. He appears to have a decent IQ and knows his role and has confidence.
Too early to really tell what we have long term, but he has some really nice tools to work with and I predict we will see him on the Moose sooner than later (I think he’s available for that option)
Series is 2-2 and hoping to catch another of work schedule allows it
Forgive any spelling or grammatical errors, beer lady was really kind tonight.
Eyssimont and Malott were pleasant surprises but likely career minor leaguers.Looking for info on players who made their NHL debut last season. Can anyone here tell me a bit about these guys like what role they played last season, what type of player they are and what their future outlook could be? Thanks!!
Michael Eyssimont
Kristian Reichel
Jeff Malott
Declan Chisholm
Johnathan Kovacevic
Dylan Samberg

I would rank him #6 after Gus. That said, I like his style a lot and can see him being the best scorer on this list at the NHL levelInteresting that Rashevsky isn’t on the list.
He is gonna play for Malmö Redhawks, and not Frölunda which he played juniors with ( but I think he rage-quitted and wentback to Finland if my memories serves me well)translation?
Malmö strengthens the squad with intended excellence.translation?
bullshit he never got a true chance Wheeler and Schiefele didn't like as he was a threat to their ice time.Dont blame Vesalainen. He is not doing anything in the NHL. IMO was not put in a position to succeed but did little to earn better icetime either.
Might get a 3rd or 4th rounder for his rights Chevy's 1st 1st round bust.
Well, Vesalainen isn’t a centre so I don’t see how he would affect Scheifele’s ice time, and I’m also not sure how his three points in 50+ games (no matter how much ice time he got) was a threat to the nearly PPG Wheeler.bullshit he never got a true chance Wheeler and Schiefele didn't like as he was a threat to their ice time.
