I believe that bumps him to 3rd in points/game among players with over 20 games played in the VHL (unless someone else's P/G drastically increased recently). The two players ahead of him are 30 and 32 years old.
The VHL has a pretty short history, I can't find a single player that has played in it that went on to play in the NHL, but with that being said it's pretty rare for U20 players to play in the league. In fact Chibrikov has the 3rd most points by an U20 player in the league's history right now, with his teammate currently having the best with 5 more points in 13 more games. 2nd best had 1 more point in 18 more games a decade ago. Worth noting is that he's on a powerhouse, but as far as points per game goes he's the one leading the powerhouse.
I'm having a hard time seeing this as anything but a complete death sentence for Chibrikov's potential.
His contract in Russia goes through the 22/23 season.
Haha I mean he's out-producing teammate Svechkov, who was drafted one pick after we chose Lucius, so I'd say that's a good sign.

Yeah sucks for Nikkanen to drop off, he's getting a lesser role on a better team though, I mean, relative to Jukurit last year. They're much better than the Pelicans this year.
Only watched about a period and with their stupid white numbers on white jerseys and a sub par feed it was kind of difficult to follow him. He had those moments and another where he threw a player to the ice off a draw, so he looks strong. He was playing left point on the power play and looked decent, though probably takes some blame on the short handed goal against. Went 0 for 4 or 5 on faceoffs by my count. Created a bit offensively, looked to be running around a bit defensively. Again, didn't watch much and was hard to follow who was who.
