While Lambert, Scheifele and Connor looked like fresh faced grade schoolers upon being drafted, Barlow looked 30+ with kids and a mortgageInteresting take on the full beard.

On one hand it’s still too early to care, but on the other hand he had a full beard at 17 and may have already maxed out physically. Wish the Jets took a C like Ritchie instead
Perfetti still looks like a grade schooler. Maybe middle school by now. While Lambert, Scheifele and Connor looked like fresh faced grade schoolers upon being drafted, Barlow looked 30+ with kids and a mortgage
Him and Ville probably get ID'd at the movie theater trying to see an R rated film lolPerfetti still looks like a grade schooler. Maybe middle school by now.
Agreed. Some players taken after have looked really good. There are quite a few prospects taken after Barlow who are looking very good. Centres, RHD, wingers, but that is all hindsight. I think most of us were pretty happy with the pick at the time.

HockeyProspect.com was very high on Barlow and had him 6th so my hope is that the things that they saw in him are still there and will flourish. Skating still seems like it could be an issue though.
Steal of the draftNiagara trailed 4-2 against Ottawa with 5 minutes to go. He scores two goals to tie and then sets up the OT game winner.
All of you heaping praise on Him, be prepared with your backup narrative if He decides he doesn't want to sign here because "it doesn't feel right".Steal of the draft

If he continues as he is then heh is still the steal of the draft. We have seen big overpays to acquire those playerszAll of you heaping praise on Him, be prepared with your backup narrative if He decides he doesn't want to sign here because "it doesn't feel right".
I think that skating is the only issue that is visible right now. If he improves that, other things may surface, like HIQ for example. I'm not too concerned with his current lack of production. He is adapting to a new team and is still getting plenty of shots. With his shot, they will start going in. I am more concerned with his lack of assists. I hope that comes around.
Of course, AC decided long ago that he no longer wanted to express his opinions on this forum, where someone might actually challenge him and put forward compelling arguments as to why he could be wrong. So, I long ago stopped giving a f*** what he thinks.@AavcoCup on Twitter has been pretty low on him. Said he was a ways away from the NHL last season, even before his current struggles.

Well Aavco has pretty good takes on twitter (which I agree with most of the time). IIRC he left this board when this place was being insufferable during the 17-18 playoff run constantly shitting on Helle. So I can't really blame him
I think he is the best on Jets twitter with information on Jets and Jets prospects as he probably watches Jets prospects the most outside of people in the organization.
Kid kinda reminds me of Kane with his hustle and shooting...except he can hit the net. Here are He's two goals as he leaps into top spot in OHL points:

Those two goals looked exactly the same haha. Reminds me a little of the time Brendan Lemieux scored 3 extremely similar looking goals on the same powerplay in the OHL.Here are He's two goals as he leaps into top spot in OHL points:
Agree.Nice to see most of our prospects off to real good starts this year. Lucius juat played his first game last night, here is hoping for a healthy and productive season.
