I loved this pick when we made it but this start is SIZZLING! The hands and his ability to make people miss is amazing. Hoping that shiftiness translates to the NHL one day soon.
Could also end up as a Burmistrov...though on this one I will still hold my breath!

2G for Rashevsky today. His max speed was lower than it's been and he played less than 13 minutes.

Kraskovsky's team was shut out.

Chibrikov not in the lineup again. Hope they send him down soon if he's not going to play.
And he’s playing only 13 minutes per game on average compared to 18 or 19 for many others. That would make him the league leader points per minute easily.

“Nett points for him”

No points for you!

this is for a dynasty league. I own Helle/Comrie
What is he really worth? I'm fairly limited on resources after going all in and winning last year

if the price is a 1st then Ill pass. Helle will likely be a work horse and I can live with just running Helle
Of course he’s not really worth a 1st but when a rival fan comes by you gotta try and upsell. I predict a modest season on moose nothing special. A mid 3/5th at best.

Two Jets prospects make the "honourable mentions" sections of the Athletic's top picks for the 2021-2 Calder Trophy:

Ranking the top 20 Calder Trophy candidates for the 2021-22 NHL season

Twelve honorable mentions

The following players, sorted alphabetically, are worth keeping an eye on but are likely to spend too much time in the AHL/depth roles to factor into the Calder Trophy race. I considered each for the back end of this list but after conversations with our beat writers and some sources as well as my own evaluation of their likely opportunities and/or their readiness, I decided to omit them.
Jonatan Berggren, LW, 21 (Detroit Red Wings — 33rd overall, 2018)
Thomas Harley, LHD, 20 (Dallas Stars — 18th overall, 2019)
Ville Heinola, LHD, 20 (Winnipeg Jets — 20th overall, 2019)
Zac Jones, LHD, 20 (New York Rangers — 68th overall, 2019)
Arthur Kaliyev, LW, 20 (Los Angeles Kings — 33rd overall, 2019)
Peyton Krebs, C/LW, 19 (Vegas Golden Knights — 17th overall, 2019)
Connor McMichael, C, 20 (Washington Capitals — 25th overall, 2019)
Cole Perfetti, C/LW, 19 (Winnipeg Jets — 10th overall, 2020)

I am probably in the minority here but I don't put a lot of stock into The Athletic. Their pieces haven't impressed me. That said, nice to see some Jets' prospects get some love.

The only way either have a chance is if they get PP time. I'm not holding my breath to see if Maurice even plays them at all for more than a handful of games... But you never know. An least we have a preseason this year, so maybe there's a chance?

From a Fantasy hockey perspective this is a big year for Berdin. His path is either a backup for Helle next year and Comrie moving on or he's waiver fodder and who knows where he ends up. He could be the heir apparent to Helle, who will be 30 years old when his contract is up with a lot of miles on him. But Arvid Holm has impressed as well and came to camp this year for the first time. Some posters think that Holm could actually be next in line.

If Helle gets hurt for an extended period most posters here have no faith in Comrie as a longer term stop gap even, so Berdin/Holm could get called up and see some action in that scenario.

IMO it's a bit of a make or break year for Berdin because he put .927 his first year in the AHL, then .910 and then .897 last year with a very green D corps around him. He likely will have Heinola, Samberg, Kovacevic and others there this year so his numbers should bounce back because the Moose should be pretty strong IMO. The .897 last year definitely opened the door for Holm to pass him though.
