As opposed to pompous?

Maybe the team / player will luck out and he gets and stays healthy. Chances are not good luck is has averaged about 20 games played a season over the past 5 years. Brutal.

At what point does the team but their losses?

We disagree obviously.
I'd be willing to put my money where my mouth is and make a wager?

No, I am not going to bet on it. I am not trying to prove anything. I am simply commenting on the sad / bad luck of a prospect, one that already had a bad injury history when the Jets drafted him, and the bad luck has continued.

It is not like I am hoping Lucius is a bust. I just see him getting closer and closer to that status due to multiple season ending injuries.

GO JETS GO

There is no chance that the Jets won't extend a qualifying offer to Chaz Lucius. There's still a great value in him despite his injury riddled seasons. Right now he's a deprecated asset. Jets won't let go of that until they can get as much value as they can out of him.
Thinking you meant depreciated asset.

Though I’m lousy at reading minds, just ask my wife. He might become a deprecated prospect if he continues to have injury issues.

Considerin' how quickly some people are willing to phase Chaz out, I think I'm closer to being right than would otherwise be.

He reminds me a lot of Shane Doan. Both are big and strong, neither the fleetest of foot but both loaded with leadership intangibles.

Doan was a Memorial Cup MVP and captain for many seasons in the NHL. I see Rutger eventually becoming a Captain as well.
