I'd move Iafallo in the offseason to save some money and free up a spot to younger competition. If he still has value by the end of the year.

Also I'd have no problem retaining on him for a year. The fact that he plays both special teams and is decent at 5v5 might help his value.
Could you move him, schmidt, and a 5th round pick for, uh, nothing in return? Also I'd have no problem retaining on him for a year.
Hate to nitpick, but I saw what you did there.Entomologist is a lousy career choice, trust me.
He has been hot and cold, more cold lately, but barring a big contribution the rest of the way, he looks like a logical move to me. Open a spot for Rutger at a lot less cap hit.
Your jokes are really starting to bug meHate to nitpick, but I saw what you did there.
See how Iafallo does during the playoffs first, if he grows..reconsider..The fact that he plays both special teams and is decent at 5v5 might help his value.
He's been a pretty good playoff performer.See how Iafallo does during the playoffs first, if he grows..reconsider..
Hell id play in the NWT if they had a NHL team (hypothetically of course, cause im a bender)I would have some serious concerns with an 18 year old demanding a trade. Definitely some character red flags popping up.
Pay your dues like everyone else. What makes YOU more special than the next guy?
Doesn't want to play for a toxic head coach, apparently.I would have some serious concerns with an 18 year old demanding a trade. Definitely some character red flags popping up.

Of course, but that's if was your only option. Gauthier had options, he exercised them and got exactly what he wanted immediately. Not a great look but no worse than Wheeler, nobody will remember in a few years.Hell id play in the NWT if they had a NHL team (hypothetically of course, cause im a bender)
If what Gauthier said to Brier about himself “being built to play for the flyers” then changing his mind 2 months later, I question his character.Of course, but that's if was your only option. Sounds more like he wanted to go pro after 1 year of college and the Flyers told him no.
I think it was more like they didn't want to burn a year off his ELC at the end of his college season last year whereas he wanted a guarantee he'd get his 10 games to burn the year and get his second contract quicker.
Honestly I don't really blame Philly for wanting three full seasons on his ELC.
I'm the end I think if that is the reason it's a pretty poor one. He'll run into hard negotiations at each part in his career so I hope he's prepared to not always get exactly what he wants.
Just what they were saying on NHL Network this morningSounds more like he wanted to go pro after 1 year of college and the Flyers told him no.
Pretty sure Quebec and Colorado fans remember the Lindros trade as the best thing to ever happen to their franchiseLike no one remembers Eric Lindros?
It will be forgotten if he accepts this trade to the left coast and is not a problem in the future. But if it is just the beginning it will be remembered.
Nice! I didn’t know you were a Rolling Stones fan! What’s your favourite song?I think it was more like they didn't want to burn a year off his ELC at the end of his college season last year whereas he wanted a guarantee he'd get his 10 games to burn the year and get his second contract quicker.

Gauthier isn't Lindros and Lindros didn't have enough of a career to wipe that memory. Wheeler refused to sign in Phoenix for 4 years and walked and most people don't remember it at all. Gauthier let them know and they got crazy good value back. Again, not ideal, not a good look, but he definitely could have gone worse ways about it.
