Salomonsson and Skelleftea playing Farjestad on TSN 2 this afternoon.
Early in 2nd period.

Is he as mean as the former #8?Really like Salomonsson’s game. Just needs to unlock that offensive game a bit more. Reminds me of a better skating Trouba, tbh.
Probably not, but he engages physically every shift, every opportunity. And has some size to him. He’s only 19, and plays that way in a men’s league. Is he as mean as the former #8?
The Trouba comparison is an interesting one, and not bad. His skating is better than Trouba's. Salomonsson is an outstanding skater, with speed and mobility. He's not nearly as aggressive in jumping into the rush as Trouba was as a Jet. But he plays an aggressive defensive game and uses his skating and size to keep tight gaps. I think he has offensive upside, and is starting to look more for his offense at the SHL level.Probably not, but he engages physically every shift, every opportunity. And has some size to him. He’s only 19, and plays that way in a men’s league.
If he can put up modest points, he’ll be a nice top 4 addition one day.
And he's not even on Easton Cowan's line.Jacob Julien with 23 points (8g 15a) in his last 12 OHL games.
I don't see Bowness coaching when/if Salo makes the NHL.I see him as a potential top-4 RD that can play a strong defensive game and jump into the rush the way that Bowness pushes.
I sure hope it’s a mere slump.DD cut from Team Canada. Womp... womp...
It looked like the Jets would have a boffo group of prospects at the WJHC, with DD, Barlow, McGroarty, Salomonsson and Wagner. Now it looks like it might be just the two Swedes, with injuries to Barlow and McGroarty and DD's slump.
Goalies are voodoo. I don't even try to assess and rank them until they have sustained success at high levels of competition into their early 20s.I sure hope it’s a mere slump.
Rutger skating with the US squad, hopefully a positive sign he might not be too far off.
Looking like he'll be good for the WJC barring a setback if he's lining up with Cutter Gauthier for a scrimmage
Would a redraft have Jacob Julien in the top 3 rounds?Jacob Julien with another goal and assist in the 1st. He's going to be relied on pretty heavily for offense until the top scorers get back from the World Juniors.
I'd say it's early for that, looking promising for sure. 34 points so far in 30 games, he had 16 in 40 last season.I snicker at Snuggerup.
Would a redraft have Jacob Julien in the top 3 rounds?
Are we allowed to get excited? I know he was undrafted in 20223G1A for Julien tonight.
One of the big scorers got cut from team Canada and is back but he's playing on a separate line.
I'm not the excitment policeAre we allowed to get excited? I know he was undrafted in 2022
Crazy pace the last 10 games. 6’4” perhaps he’s figuring it out.I'm not the excitment police
I hadn't actually noticed that he was draft eligible in 2022. Only made the cut by 3 days so would have been one of the youngest in the draft.
