Hopefully Rutger is as gritty as his name implies and makes a swift recovery here. Really worried, especially with Lucius oft-injured, that the Jets top two prospects are swimming against stream towards The Show

Grabbing his ass end there, definitely busted out his tail bone. Ouch that sucks, thankfully it's not worse but he's going to be out and in pain for quite some time.

I don't suppose there is any further word on the extent of the injury, but as long is it is only the tailbone and no spinal injury the recovery is not really much different from any other bone fracture/bruise. But apparently it is quite painful.
My dad fell off a ladder building our back gate and that’s how he ended up busting his. The pain was excruciating and the recovery was miserable for my poor old man. Sometimes if it’s a really bad break they’ll just remove it completely.

My prayers have been answered. I was afraid it was going to be a spinal cord injury.

Bruised my tailbone a couple of times. It HURT. Otherwise not that serious though.

It was a very long time ago so I can't even remember the circumstances. But I remember that it was painful.

I swear mine took a year to fully heal, and it wasn't even bad. Just slipped on a piece of tape on my skate blade and landed wrong on the ice. Car rides sucked for a while...

I had the same thing as McGroarty happen to me when I was 16 or 17. It was the only time I have ever stayed down on the ice. I tried to get up a few times and just couldn't. Hurt like hell for a good while but nothing permanent. Had to sit on a cushioned donut for awhile so that there was no pressure on it. As an immature aside coccyx is a funny word.

Levis had a power play assist last night. He was also the first option for Kamloops in the shoot out, but he didn't score.
He's has 17 points in 20 games.

Lots of discussion of tailbone injuries, but has there been any information about whether that's McGroarty's injury? I haven't seen any further information since the initial reports.
