The arena is getting evacuated because of a fire
Next four Michigan games and possible World Juniors.
I haven't been paying too much attention because I assumed he was still hurt but Salomonsson is listed on today's roster for Skellefteå.
Chibrikov really starting to make an impact at the AHL level. He seems to be in the lead among the young players as the first to make an NHL debut if the Jets need a top-6 forward as an injury replacement. Going forward, the Jets are going to have to make some tough decisions about which young forwards to focus on, and when to integrate them into the NHL roster.
My guess...
1. McGroarty - timeline is later this season for an NHL taste, then a role as in the mix for middle-6 winger spot (maybe replacing Iafallo).
2. Chibrikov - timeline is maybe a few games this season, but more likely an option next season. Hard to know where he's going to fit unless the Jets really shake up their top-9 and move away from the "Lowry Line" at some point (making it a 4th line). Considering this coaching staff's apparent so-so opinion of Ehlers, I'd keep an eye on whether the Jets might consider trading Ehlers and moving Chibrikov or Lambert into that play-driving skilled winger role.
3. Lambert - in a similar situation as Chibrikov. The big question is whether he might be developed into a C role. If so, next season is a bit early, but he might get a stretch of games yo-yoing up and down from the Moose.
4. Barlow - he's been a bit spotty in the OHL so far. He's probably 2-3 seasons away.
The big question marks for the Jets are related to Nino and Iafallo. If they don't re-sign either, then there is at least two top-9 spots opening up (maybe for McGroarty and Chibrikov). My guess is that they will re-sign Nino, and might let Iafallo go, but that would be revisited if this team has a good playoff run. In that case, they would probably buy out Schmidt, bridge Perfetti, and run it back with Nino and Iafallo.
The Jets could really have a deep and talented line-up if they buy out Schmidt and bridge Perfetti... something like this:
Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi
Niederreiter-Perfetti-Ehlers
McGroarty-Lowry-Appleton
Iafallo-Namestnikov-Chibrikov
Barron-Gustafsson-Lambert
That might be the deepest F talent in the NHL next season.
Morrissey-DeMelo
Samberg-Pionk
Dillon-Heinola
Salomonsson
Iafallo is inked through next year. Do you mean trade him in the summer?
Chibrikov's numbers honestly don't do him justice. I'm not going to sit here and say he's 100% going to be a star, but he's being used as a secondary player on the Moose and his linemates reflect that. From what I've seen he's playing with Zhilkin and Viel more than anyone, who are both effective AHL players but it doesn't compare to what Lambert has had to work with. Chibrikov is dominating at this level and if he was used as a top player he'd be producing even more. From what I've seen he has the highest star potential among our prospects.

How's his D game? What a great problem to have for the first time in 2.0 era.
We finally have high end quality forward depth. Amazing how adding 5 really good defensive forwards since last TD has transformed our team play.
Chibby being this good is such a bonus.
How's his D game?
The effort's always there, backchecks like a madman, no issues with playing physical. Can be a little careless with the puck. How's his D game?

Parker Ford and Jeff Malottwho are lambert's regular linemates?

I think it is becoming clear by now the organization doesn't see him as anything more than deep depth. Including Heinola he is 9th on the depth chart, though if push comes to shove the Jets probably go to Capo over him so most likely 10th.What about Chisholm ?
