So many good forward prospects. McGroarty, Lambert, Lucius, Chibrikov, Barlow, Rashevsky is a nice bunch.

What is fascinating as an armchair GM is projecting when each of these guys make the big club and who they replace.

Not a popular opinion but i think lucius will make team before lambert and long before chibrikov.

McGroarty feels like he'd probably excel in a bottom 6 role even if it was just to start out, more so than lambert

Playing Lambert on the 4th line would be an absolute DISASTER! Brad Lambert having an elite AHL season imo means more than McGroarty having an elite NCAA season. Brad Lambert is the type of player who needs top 6 talent to flourish. Him with Ehlers skating circles would be dazzling. Appleton should be 4th line with McGroarty if you are going to rush him to the NHL, which I don't see Chevy doing, on the 3rd line would make more sense. I just hope both have incredible years so we have more hope that this team will flourish again.

McGroarty brings a lot more than good "vibes" to the table. He has high end hockey sense, very good puck skills, and a good motor.

McGroarty was really good in his draft year and he checked every box except skating. It was a great draft pick at the time and its only going to get better with him IMO.

Salomonsson playing.

Salomonsson as smooth as ever, super active and getting chances. Guy could play big minutes with how efficient his skating is.

Right as I was about to say "it's amazing how much Salomonsson creates when he's on the ice but how little he gets rewarded for it" he gets an assist. Second time in the game he's completely taken over in the offensive zone.

No, he was one of the best scorers. I'm sure Team USA saw the same weaknesses that all the teams ahead of us saw (Boston notably 3 times). He's a one trick pony that can't defend to save his life. If I had any Photoshop skills, I would put KFC at the end of a fishing line with A Fish Called Chevy swimming up eagerly to bite. I spend all my time ragging on Scheifele simply because he is so much more of an inviting target for lots of reasons. Had we traded him as I had hoped, I would certainly have turned my undivided attention on Connor this season.

Well I’m glad that Schief was not traded as I think Connor would have packed his bags and gone home to Michigan if he would have to withstand the“undivided attention from Nobody Important “!
