Just remember, Comrie provided some pretty spectacular goaltending in junior. Don't count your chickens before the cows come home, is what I always say.

Comrie never had as a good a year in junior as this.
Berdin did have some promise but his AHL stats that people quote was not from a very big sample.

Interesting hypothetical question for Jets fans. If we happen to get by Kamloops this year, What would Jets fans want more, a Brad Lambert led championship victory and berth and hopeful Win in the Memorial Cup? Or A Ice series win? I see Pros and Cons for both for you guys.

Lambert scoring the series winning 7th game overtime goal would work for me.
I’d probably lean more towards the ICE winning, but Lambert vs. the ICE would be a win-win.
If Seattle beats the ICE I’ll be rooting for them in the Memorial Cup. Hopefully Lambert has a big series.

But it is nice to see him doing so well. He needs another season of Jr before he can even start adjusting to pro hockey with the Moose.

Comrie had a 92.5 sv% in his D+1 year in 60 games.
Can't be a direct comparison because of different seasons in different leagues but that was a damn good season for him.
Definitely Lambert for me. I am only peripherally aware of the Ice.

Lambert AINEC. These clowns that own the ICE have lost me over this arena BS. And I have my doubts they will be the Winnipeg ICE for much longer.

Game was bananas, birds up 3-1, loops tied it in the 2nd, birds took 4-3 lead into third for eventual 8-4 win.

you beat me to it. DD's trajectory is definitely looking more like Hellebuyck than Comrie. Still no reason to hype anything but his D+1 season is legit for sure.

It is tough to score in double coverage but it creates chances for others. ‘Birds are a very motivated group. Next game is going to be EPIC!

He also has a significant size advantage over Comrie and Berdin. Perhaps I've got the rose colored glasses on, but I look at DD as a different class of prospect than those guys.
I'm not sure if there's a cap on how many over-agers a CHL team can have, but over-agers are certainly allowed.
I expect him to go play for the Moose, but maybe he decides to stay in Kitchener?
