I like Wagner guy just works his ass off. McGroarty is like the anti-Jets 1st round pick. Which is good cause we need some oomph in that top 6. Lucius has sliky hands but he floats too much needs to exert himself out there. He is going to be a project to ever get to the NHL

Yup, Lucious needs to up his pace of play and urgency in a big way if he ever wants to play in the NHL.

Nice to see Wagner, Lambert and Lucius all playing centre. But if I'm honest, McGroarty has the best chance of playing centre permanently for the Jets.

I think Lucius and Ruttiger are the closest to the NHL of our prospects at the WJC.

Lucius game is high impact due to his shot. He's going to be 2nd line RW/PP but never a guy you want matching up against other teams best, he'll 100% need shelter. Like if he was on the team now I'd have him glued to Dubois but if we had a lead late in the game I might put a more responsible guy up on that wing for the last 10 mins of the 3rd.

Lambert worries me. I see nothing in his game outside of transition and I don't feel he'll get those looks in the NHL. He's awful in both zones.

I’ve never seen much from Lucius except for his shot.

Rashevsky needs someone to feed him, much like Lucius but I see more in Rashevsky’s game.

Lambert +- on the Moose is terrible.

On the other hand. It’s nice to see Heinola leading the Moose in that stat by a fairly wide margin.

Maybe for a different thread and for those who have watched Bedard for a while. What is your overall thoughts. Seen him live twice and while his shot is very obvious I find some of his other attributes unassuming at times.

I think he's an excellent player. A very dangerous one on one player and he also has terrific vision and playmaking that he can burn you with his passing if you try to take away his shot. I've compared him to a peak Kariya a couple of times and think tye comparison is still good. Kariya had a bit more explosive speed and Bedard a more lethal shot but they were/are both true dual threat offensive players that liked to go at players. Bedard much like Kariya is a high volume shooter.

That's my analysis of him as well. Much like Kariya,I worry about injuries with Bedard. He looks small on the ice and he will be targeted constantly.

Luckily for him head hunting is not looked at the same way now. In Kariya's day it was quite acceptable to take off someone's head with big hits.

Bedard has a touch of Crosby in him in that he'll go and get the puck off the wall, which makes him unique even among the "exceptional" players. Not quite as strong as Crosby but has a bit of that game.

You can tell he's used to playing with dogshit teammates in Regina because he just waits a lot of the time at the blueline to get the puck and go from there in the O zone. Doesn't trust the guys to work the cycle to get it to him on the half wall or down low.

What a fun game between Slovakia and Switzerland. Sucks that it's going to end in a shootout.

I think McGroarty has consistently been the 6th skater out on delayed penalties all tournament.

Lucius banged in a loose puck that bounced off the end wall right after Team USA's powerplay ended.

I'd like to say I'm objective but it might be because there's 2 Jets prospects playing in the slot on both PP units, but I feel like Team USA's umbrella setup is never actually looking to use those players in front of the net and the slot.

Pretty wicked shot by Kemell to tie it. I think I like Finland's PP better than the American team's :dunno:
