Yes literally, maybe if you spent more time reading instead of attempting to make funny posts and failing you would have seen it.Literally? Not figuratively? Metaphorically?
Perfetti.
If you look at the top 3 rounds, i think we ha e 2-3 cdns... one of which is a Russian.
We used to be heavy into whl and have just completely abandoned if for whatever reason
Too bad the Jets scouts gave forgotten that the tiny little country of Canada still produces some pretty good players. I hope Team Canada crushes all opposition, Jets prospects included.
Like most people I was always heavily invested in Team Canada at the WJHC.
The one downside of the Jets coming back to Winnipeg/the NHL is that I have significantly lost interest in Team Canada. With the exception of the years where we had Jets on Canada (which isn't that often).
I still want Canada to win but I just don't care as much.
Similar to the abysmal World Cup concept that included Team North America.
With Scheifele, Helle and Trouba on the younger team I found myself cheering for them over Canada.
Go Canada Go (with less enthusiasm)
And before that? Comrie Morrissey Petan.Perfetti.
Some of us don't have time to go back and read the entire thread. Anyway, I looked it up myselfYes literally, maybe if you spent more time reading instead of attempting to make funny posts and failing you would have seen it.
I agree -Watching Lambert with his peers I don't see a lack of hockey sense or willingness to set up his teammates. He just looks like a greedy young player that always wants to have the puck. Which every young player has to get over at some point.
He just scored off a wicked shot just below the dot driving down the right wing.

I agree -
The speedsters always want the puck - Ehlers was similar when he broke into the league.
Learning curve for sure.
Which is interesting because he was much more willing to use his teammates in TC which is why he had a lot more success.
Absolutely - I was responding only to the fact that they are both speedy and like to have the puck - and then jumping to the conclusion that the really fast guys like to have the puck. The one major difference is Nik was insanely productive in his draft and his draft +1 season. He put up over 100 points both years and was almost 2 points per game in his draft +1 season. I agree he liked the puck on his stick but he was way more creative and multi dimensional.

I do think Ehlers learned to use his line mates more (better) as he progressed at the pro level - he did a lot of it on his own (successfully) prior to the NHL, as per your comments.
And there is no doubt that some are better at using that speed in achieving results - also to your point.
When the Jets left I ended up doing NFL Fantasy Football. I evenly quickly became the commissioner of my league and devoted tons of time to it. When the Jets came back I lost almost all interest and stopped doing Fantasy Football within a couple of seasons.Good post
I think we are all on our individual journeys with this. I had this same experience with fantasy football. My fantasy team became my number one passion and my actual NFL team got bumped to the two hole.
When it comes to hockey I am now torn. HFBoards has really impacted my love of team Canada. I still like our team but the emergence of the group of Ugly, arrogant, loud, bully Canadian hockey fans is a group I love to watch lose. Maximum pain inflicted on that group is what they deserve.
As a group on the main board team Canada (it’s our game) fans are exactly what people despise about Leafs fans “as a group”. The difference being Leafs always fail so to me it’s a Shakespearean play, however Canada wins allot so it’s not humours it’s just ugly. We are Twitter (ok sorry that is a huge insult)
The good news is I am in rehab for my PTSD and haven’t visited the main boards during these tournaments for a few years.
Go team Canada Go but not the main board Canadian fans. Find another sport to ruin and move the f*** out of your parents basement before they die.
One thing is that IMO the US does a better job at early development compared to Canada. The USA Development Program and USHL does a better job working with the 16 and 17 y/o group to maximize development over the CHL. Less games and more focus on skill development. While I believe Canada has more high end talent, the guys that are drafted in the top 10, the US does a better job of preparing the next tier of players that go in the mid and late 1st round. So far the Jets have been very successful in drafting these players. Connor being the best example.

Once the Jets were back I didn’t have time or energy for some of the stuff that had replaced them.
