yes
Yes that's true, but they put too much emphasis on the apparent severity of the hit and downplayed the lack of intent to injure and the player making himself vulnerable. Dillon's intent was to "cut him off at the pass", and they both met at the same time, and also Dillon does not have a dirty player designation........it was the wrong decision. There seem to be more fodder here for bias against the Jets, and maybe it should be investigated. Numbers of questionable incidents don't lie.I'm not sure why there's such surprise at a Dillon suspension. The head was 100% the point of contact. Even optically you can't let that go.
Heinola requires they waive someone. Not ready to waive Toninato just yet, maybe? So bro goes. And Stan is in.
Why not call up Heinola. Cuz pionk Stanley or Schmidt Stanley isn’t good.
The great player/coach Reggie Dunlop touches on this topic in the postcoital scene involving Handrahan's ex wife, Suzanne, in the cinematic masterpiece "Slapshot"So the Baron accidentally switched homonyms and wrote: "Stanley in will be hard to bare"
I was going to ignore it but after I saw the usual sexist Plain Jane stuff I replied with: "I'm sure Stanley won’t be thrilled to be bare either, hard or not."
And then Thin Ice replies with a need to vomit.
So it got me thinking. I've never heard a woman react to another woman's naked body with revulsion. Never. Sure, you hear jealousy, snide comments, indifference, sarcasm, etc. but I've never heard any woman say another woman's body makes her want to vomit. Yet so many guys react to the image or thought or suggestion of being next to a naked man as something horrible to be avoided. I wonder why. I realize it's not as interesting as the fellatio jokes and other innuendo in today's thread, but it still makes you think.
tsn tonight ?
'yay Sportsnet'Yep, followed by 3 in a row back on Sportsnet
I see showman Wes McCauley is the ref tonight....
Hopefully the Jets can get the offense/pp going tonight and get a win tonight.
Let's look at some stats/trends and see how likely that will be:
Flyers have the 2nd best PK at 85.4%
Flyers are 4th in blocked shots with 907
Jets have been shutout in the last 2 games vs Philly, 0-4 and 0-2.
Brossoit career vs Philly, 0-3-0 3.44gaa .886%
Okay, so not looking too rosy
But on the plus side our new player has good stats vs Philly
