If he wasn't in good enough shape to play a back to back and not totally fall apart, he shouldn't have been on the ice at the end of the game.
That's ridiculous. Like it or not he's going to be relied on very heavily on the top pair this year. His performance for us to date has been very good, so you'd want him on the ice to protect a lead.
The high stick was unfortunate, but he was falling, it happens. There were also 5 guys on the ice at the end of the game so to put all the weight on him for that goal against is unfair.
Hockey is a game of mistakes and shit happens. We've already won a couple games we shouldn't have this year, so things tend to balance it.
I'd prefer to take the positive out of it - we're playing progressively better, Morrissey looks like he's starting to turn it around, and we have a big, exciting, young center coming.
Things are looking up in Jets land.
