Very nice to get the point and as long as Helle keeps playing like this it allows our team to hang around.

DOT i thought you had a Point there. there you GO. i googled. my English is very bad sometime

anyway...im really tired of this teams perverted adventures by the coach. tomorrow i might end my sessions at here. thanks

avgard. the last hockeyprofessor?
Professor, please don't go.

...and before you do, how would you coach Laine so he doesn't give the puck away in overtime so his team loses? We need some advice to guide the young winger.

That sucked but could have lost 9-1 with how good the Pens PP is. Holy shit they move it around. Helle is a new goalie by the looks of it.

Those two blown 2 on 1 's by Scheif are uncharacteristic. I bet he's furious. It was a good game by the Jets against a good opponent not the end of the world in the slightest.

If Laine makes that pass he's the hero and if not he's the goat. It's the definition of a high risk/reward play. meh, on to the next one.

by the way, Myers is playing D there and decided to go to the net so you could also question his positioning in that scenario.

Is no one else concerned about how bad Tyler Myers has looked this year? And our PK was just as ugly as ever... except Hellebuyck bailed us out. They were running a PP entirely within our faceoff dots at one point, guys.
What I saw on the PK was just horrendous. If it wasn't for Helle & them missing a few key shots, we would have surrendered a goal on every PK. If the coaches can't fix that, its beyond time we get someone who can.

For the good, lots of great scoring chances - tons. Murray was also v good. V Good = Helle, wow. Most impressed with Connor too, playing like a pro now. Play a few more like this & we win our share. keep heading to the penalty box, and it will be long season.

at Whilees is very easy to answer;

at now Laine is not propably so happy in playing and his coinfidence is not near at top . very very understandable. the coach dont let him have fun. also needs more icetime. and of course better withplayers.

on the PP this team is also a TOTAl catastorphy, coaches perverted ideas is totally wronggone here also. BUFF gets someking of keerole here to surf the puck into zoun. AND THIS IS OF COURSE ALSO ERROR BIG TIME. WHILE rarityrarly in opponents zoun being, the playing, passing inside there is nothing. opponent easily put puck out of zoun , and they dont get to pass to laine at all. laine should play all time in PP to get to be able to get at least some chanche.

get laine to play first line with sheifele as with Ehlers and Little the playing is under all critics. Ehlers not being able to pass at all. he skates into opponent while they take the puck from him. then buff is at laines laine also. total perverted line sort of. non working in any aspect. laine is alone here. i dont know...there is so much to take up in this teams messing...i just dont have energy to write more about this right now...the team is so sickly behaviored. i am so angry. while players get to other teams they may start doing Points like burmistrosky, Stafford etc. due to small amount of icetime in team Before . but here at boards of Winnipeg people dont understand at small amount of icetime in 3rd 4th line is not possible make Points, maybe some by luck. Armia, one-man-Armia is stuck at doghouse here by the perverted coach must be record in League looking at skill an at ice-done-points. embarassing for player and for coach , but coach got away.

Hendricks looks good - he'll anchor the 4th line and if they work like they did tonight, they'll eat up minutes and wear down opponents. we don't the depth to roll 4 scoring lines so a good grid line works for me.

Third line will be interesting once Matty and Lowry are back assuming they are both on the 3rd. Armia likely the 3rd man in and as someone has already mentioned, this line might add a nice balance of scoring and work ethic -

Happy to see both Dano and Petan out of the line up. Dano because he's useless and Petan because he's not ready.

I thought the D over all was good tonight considering the power plays they had to defend (and that PP is scary). Kept everything to the outside (for the most part) and blocked a ton of shots. Puck seemed to be bouncing a lot tonight so I'll give them a little wiggle room on some of the gaffs.

Myers still has a ways to go but he's getting better (slowly).

Trouba is not looking like a guy that is worth the money some are throwing around as his potential next contract. I wish he'd stick to the basics he used to be so good at (hitting, clearing bodies, standing players up - mean streak seems to have subsided a bit which I always considered an attribute.

Both Trouba and Buff need to work on hitting the net from the point - between them (tonight), they appeared to miss on every shot and we usually lose possession. Gotta hit the net.

Top six looks OK - wheeler seems to be off a bit - almost as if he's bothered with a minor but nagging injury. Not working as hard as he has in the past (not saying he's lazy). Laine looks OK - like to see him shoot more. Looks like he's going out of his way to show he's more than just a shooter.

Nice point considering who and where we played

One thing you can say about Hendricks is that he's low event...1CF, 3CA. -2, but if he's holding opponents down then I'm fine with it.

Can't complain about anything outside of the result. The team played quite well coming off an extended break. This is two back to back good efforts and if we keep building we will be fine.

Helle was excellent.

Morrissey had another real strong evening. Great on the PK, scored a goal, moved the puck effectively and continually shows he can match up and defend well against the best in the game. The kid is a gem, he has all the tools. Trouba had an off night, poor reads and miss managed the puck all night. We need last years Jacob back.

Buff and Toby had a nice tidy evening.

Myers played his best game of the year and Kulikov was solid.

CSW - Connor and Scheifele had excellent nights. Connor is a keeper, terrific speed, skill and hustle.

ELL - Solid night for them, generated some good chances. Laine has another level.

Bottom 6 didn't hurt the team tonight.

I hope our players paid attention to the Pens PP. While they didn't score they moved it around at will. We need to start doing similar.

Onwards to Columbus.

Yes I'm concerned but man the Morrissey - Trouba combo was up against Crosby and Malkin all night and shredded them on the XGF%. which matches the eye test. They gave up incredibly little again and only lost the CF battle due to a bunch of long range perimeter shots.

Id be more concerned if Helle actually doesnt play as well in the future... He truly is playing so well that its hiding the Jets problems big time. Mason plays? We lose.

I will also add that a team who is tied 1 1 with under 1 minute left and coach throws out Matthias Copp Tanev... They are doomed in the long run.

People talk about Wheeler looking off... Its probably because in 1 game he gets more ice time than our 4th line gets in 6 games. That is a yuge problem. Maurice is actually overplaying our top 6 and more specifically our top line... Its gonna catch up.

I would rather have mathias copp tanev out there with a minute left in a tie game then ehlers and laine.

Frenchy-Lowry-Armia would be really good 3rd line, especially against opposing 1st. Also, they'd actually have some scoring potential too.

Disagree, it's still borderline. Armia is a black hole as is Lowry.....they don't produce like we need. Both are better suited as 4th line players in today's era.

There was a lot to like in that game. The bottom 6 didn't score - but they had as many goals as the top 6. That sounds negative but they played pretty well.

Kyle Connor isn't going back to the AHL. Lemieux might but if he does it won't be for long. He has an NHL future.

It was an entertaining game. Bucky was very good - again. Might have been the best game the Jets have played this year.

I'm kinda so-so on this game, so I guess I can deal with getting one point out of it. I feel like we had much less big defensive breakdowns, we didn't let too many odd-man rushes, or let them walk into the slot uncovered very often. That was one of the things that kinda worried me at the start of the season and I think they are working to fix that which is awesome.

I really didn't like the PK though... I don't know how much to blame it on PIT being so good, but it felt like our forwards sat a bit to far back and allowed their two wingers to through cross-ice passes at will without having to go through the point man first. Not really an expert so I don't know if that is normal or not, but it seemed like it made it significantly harder for everyone to get set up on the new angle on time.

Ehlers still looks so skillful though, I'm excited to see him every night.

Not exactly low event.

Connors were good, Schief was good, Ehlers, Morrissey and Buff were good

Laine, Trouba and Wheeler didn't bring their thinking caps to this one!

Why didn't Little play?

Tanev and Mathias another nice night of beautiful skating, Tanev's Axel was really nice and Mathias with a real nice Lutz, keep it up boys and remember never touch the puck!

Armia meh....Copp meh.... both holding roster spots for Lowry, Perreault, Roslo or the kid in Finland or whoever...

Interesting watching a Jet wearing #5 that can actually move the puck and not get caught out of position every shift!

Goaltending and D are going to have to be pretty much ON every night if the two line Jets hope to succeed!

That is flawed logic.

Looking at point/goalscore leader (stamkos/kucherov) and realizing that scheifele/laine was that at this point last year and maybe we wont see that again sucks..

Dont like little/laine/ehlers combo as they bleed chances against rather have.

Also worried laine allready peaked in his rookie season a là jeff skinner/mackinnon. Also worried that he looks worse since last season... atleast he is scoring everyother game or so but still..seems he relied on backup goalies and weak teams too much for his production last season.

Would be nice if you killed all those concerns at any time laine :)

I haven't been reading through every comment but I think I didn't see it mentioned:

Dustin Byfuglien is playing sound and responsible hockey. I really like it right now. Easily our best defenseman again.

Trouba is in a big slump. Everything he touches just dies or even worse - turns into posession for the opponent team.

*edit*

The only reason we lost this game was the team's inability to score ONE out of like at least 5 or 6 2-on-1 situations we had. ALL of them were pretty awfully executed and easy to handle for Murray. And it's not like it was all Tanev and Matthias having those chances... The worst one was Scheifele deking the sliding defenseman, standing all alone in front of Murray and then MISS THE f***ING NET... Like, seriously?

Exciting game. Started pretty slow but got up to speed after about 5 minutes. One thing that drove me nuts about this game was how so much of our CA was self inflicted, especially the Little line. Ehlers and Little were both guilty of bringing the puck deep into the Jets zone and then turning it over and getting stuck in their own zone. Make the other team earn their zone time.
