i didnt get to watch the game yet since i just got home and watching the caps nucks game first.. just listening to player interviews post game i hate how they keep asking every player about hendricks.. sheesh let it go talk about trying to force something

Frenchy-Lowry-Armia would be really good 3rd line, especially against opposing 1st. Also, they'd actually have some scoring potential too.

Is no one else concerned about how bad Tyler Myers has looked this year? And our PK was just as ugly as ever... except Hellebuyck bailed us out. They were running a PP entirely within our faceoff dots at one point, guys.

At that point Jets were basically down to 3 because Trouba's stick was broken, but the Pens PP is good. Best idea is to not take useless penalties (glares at Buff and Wheeler).

Morrissey for me had a great game with the goal and saving the goal by pushing the net off.

Hendricks had a good game with the pk. If thats all he does, he is worth the spot on the 4th line.

Scheif was good but needs to shoot more on the 2on1

I like my goaltenders big and boring. If Kyle Connor attributes himself on the top line relatively well, then that frees up Perreault to be a winger on the third line. Perreault - Lowry - xxxx is 2/3rds of a decent 3rd line.

Helle looks awesome.
27/29 looked dominant at times, but 18 just doesn't mesh. Where was he?
Connor looks great. Not nearly as soft as he's called, in my opinion.

Quick thoughts...

CSW - Connor was outstanding. Crazy that he was sent down. Dynamic player. Scheifele was a beast. Great game, but he needs to shoot when he gets great chances. He's a much better scorer than Wheeler. Wheeler worked hard, but he really fights the puck. His turnover and penalty on the PP was awful.

ELL - Not a bad get. Little still hasn't found his A game. Ehlers was dangerous. Laine had a good game overall, but needs to value the puck more in crucial situations like the OT. He also needs to keep shooting.

CMT - Matthias was fine. Copp decent on the PK. Tanev... is fast. But they just don't have enough skill. This team really misses Perreault and Lowry. I'd bring up Roslovic and see if he can spark something in the bottom six.

LHA - Lemieux was okay. Hendricks was too. I like winning faceoffs on the PK now and again. I'm looking forward to when Armia is up to speed again.

44-8 This pair needs to be better. Morrissey was pretty good, but Trouba was a hot mess.

39-33 Toby was good. Buff was very good, except the dumb penalty.

5-57 Kulikov was pretty solid. An obvious improvement over Chiarot. Myers struggled at times with quickness in his own zone, but he was improved over recent efforts.

Hellebuyck - Great game. Just solid and looking like a real pro. Good duel between a couple of good young goalies.

I think we'll see Dano in for Lemieux tomorrow, which would be good.

I kinda like a loser point on the road against the Pens, all things considered.

I was wondering why nobody else had mentioned him to this point. I thought he looked absolutely horrible tonight and hasn't been very good at all this year. Hope he turns it around because I was liking his play earlier in his time with the Jets.

Helle is in a grove. Whatever he did offseason is working. We have a goaltender coach who has an NHL career sv% of 0.887. Our keepers that get exposed to him seem to vortex downward toward his sv%.

The worst part about this game is I have Crosby, Malkin, Wheeler, Laine, Scheifele and Ehlers on my fantasy team and somehow none of them got a point. I am shocked, almost as shocked as I was getting them all on my team in the first place.
