The game started off with a lot of energy, the fans were involved, the Jets scored first...

Then the Jets we saw the last two games disappeared and the crowd got quiet and the Flames took over. Sounds about right? Anyway, I give this game three shovelling snows out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Mustard Kitties has been posted and is ready for your guesses. It's a close race, so every point counts! Don't forget to sign up to make a GDT, the one on Saturday is available, so why not give it a try. You have a few days to think about it...

PLD can't do all the dirty work by himself and if he leaves and lets face it he is not signing here long term the Jets will be even more soft then they are atm. Jets can't fold every time the game get rough and tough and need to give as good as they get and that didn't happen tonight. A couple of extra PP goals would of helped too.

Vancouver will play the Flames tough at home they probably roll over the Preds and Sharks at home, so the Jets really need to beat the Preds and Sharks and have the Canucks beat the Flames, Jets will back into the playoffs but at least they have a chance to make it
Not going to happen. This Jets team is too dysfunctional to get it together.

The Jets have a game in hand over the Flames, and also should they end up tied, the Jets would win the tiebreaker from their better record against the Flames. We're sitting not to bad, but the Jets are going to have to play with some intensity, and take little to no "penalties."

I still like our chances, but it won't be easy.
The chances of the Jets doing any of what you mentioned are almost non existent. They have proven for the last 35 games or so that they are the team we watched tonight. No heart and no compete, they just don't give a shit.

So the Jets played two really great games when I had to work and couldn't watch.

Tonight I was glued to the entire game (okay, so I took a short phone call during the third) and we turned in a fairly weak and aimless effort. I feel like some sort of jinx now.

The good news is I've got a job for Saturday night so that should help our effort against Nashville!
It's all your fault

15 minor penalties killed this game. I never shit on refs but if you're gonna let them play, let them play.

I realize 8 of the 30 PIMs were offsetting but that still leaves over a third of the game played on special teams.

Lucic is a Neanderthal, a month or so back he put the Avs McDermid out of action for a while with a punch to the face and McDermid is a big dude who can throw them.
No doubt about it, Lucic is one of the toughest guys in the NHL. I'd say in the top 3, maybe tied up there with Ryan Reaves for # 1. Indeed he's an intimidating force out there.

It’s hockey though. It’s ok to take penalties if you're playing tough and making the other team think twice (which is happening to the jets) they are terrible if they are are lazy penalties I.e. hooking, slashing etc.

Yeah, it was excessive and it hurt the flow of the game.

The effort level just wasn't there after the first period.
That’s what’s most disturbing.

The building was absolutely BUZZING to start. The game had everything…. Everything except a complete effort from. Rested team with their season on the line.

Blow this team up, I’m over these guys wasting my time and hard earned money.
