I hate to pick on Helly but he was not good tonight. He failed to make the 'big save' when needed but Wheeler on the second line, Scheiffle and Connor killed any momentum this team had

Scheif, I know not what he was doing near the end. Killed so much time for the Flames and then turns it right over after an offensive zone faceoff win with the goalie pulled. Like, dude?

Jets need more talent and more heart and it's become evident that some of our more talented players do not want to engage when the game becomes heavy. After a rough and tumble first the Jets decided that was not the game for them

They had their chances but there was too much sloppy play for my liking. Morrissey had some long stretches of very loose play. Scheifele's lazy check on the Flames second goal, Wheeler had a tough night and Connor was just brutal outside of scoring areas. The penalty parade was brutal. I have a hard time getting invested in this team when they have guys consistently making plays I'd get mad at my beer league teammates for.

A relatively good, exciting game but I don't have a ton of faith in this team. I hope I am wrong but this core just doesn't have another deep run in it. I also hate how the refs let the Flames clutch and grab all the time.

I actually let myself believe that the boys would pull up their socks and play a great game. That was a lot of really shit play and terrible energy. No One showed up today. I'll fight anyone who claims otherwise

When they play big physical teams, the Jets should play Logan Stanley, and they should also "convert" Tiny Heiny" to a forward, who wouldn't be too bad as a forward. Too small for a Dman, and the Flames would eat him alive.

Seems the Jets got too over-confident after a couple of (in retrospect) easy wins. A noticeable pattern with them. The Flames brought them back to reality tonight. I'm sadly ambivalent about whether or not I'd prefer to see the Jets succeed in the playoffs. If (as it stands now) they play Vegas in the 1st round (and play like they did tonight), then the inevitable 4-0 sweep by Vegas will force Chipman to do a major off-season shake-up. But if the Jets somehow miraculously win their 1st round series, it'll fill the team and management with false confidence and they'll maintain the status quo and remain in denial (and in perpetual mediocrity).

Yup, Jets are still in this but they need to regroup and beat both the Predators and Sharks, if they get swept by the Sharks they don't belong in the playoffs. Lose both and we wont have to worry about the Wild and Avs games

Tonight I was glued to the entire game (okay, so I took a short phone call during the third) and we turned in a fairly weak and aimless effort. I feel like some sort of jinx now.
