Saw the score before watching, thanks sports-nyet after signing in the scores come up, why???

Glad Shaw got a goal, now lets see what he really can do with that pressure off his back.

Haven't been posting much, but enjoying reading your banter ;) well most of you :DD

Looking forward to playing the Stanley Cup Champions. :thumbu:

I sure hope that our Jets plays this song for in the NHL while playing a complete team game its just like an Orchestra when it all goes together just right, you reach perfection.

Cheers...

Good.

I don't think there was any contact to the head, but, that hit was really, really late.

I think the NHL uses 0.5 seconds after the player last touched the puck for their measure of whether a hit was late or not, I've seen people saying it was a full 2 seconds late. It really shows how quick the game is at the highest level.

The way the league assesses head contact means that any contact with Perreault's head will be considered pretty much irrelevant because the primary contact was with Perreault's chest. The only exception is when players launch themselves and leave their feet I think, and Farabee clearly didn't do either.
My guess is 2 games, it sounds like it's a phone hearing.

Question for the stats gurus. My son and I have a difference of opinion on the success the Jets have had wearing the aviator jerseys. Does anyone have the Jets win/loss record wearing these jerseys?

yes the “Aviators” suck my butt. Despite today’s result they don’t Look like the Jets out there in those horrendous baseball style BLACK accented jerseys.:whine:

December 27 th, will tell the story where this team stands, where they begin a home and home against St.Louis, and then Colorado a short time later.

If we do well against those teams, and win more than we lose --we have a real great competitive team here, and who knows.

That stretch will tell the story with this team, and I think they'll be close games.

I remember when the Negative Nancy’s said early in the year, “Wait until the Jets have games against playoff calibre teams.”

Jets deserved to win, by far the more dangerous team and largely controlled the game.

Philly did literally nothing that impressed me or gave me concern they might make it a game.

Laine trying to pass on what was pretty much a breakaway and scoring anyway, was the hockey gods trying to tell him something. Shoot the puck son.

It really seemed that Scheif had something to say after that goal. I bet it was the same message the hockey gods send.
