Really fun game to be at. Much more urgency and effort it seemed. Bogo was as physical as I've seen him. He needs to keep that up. Nice to see Wheeler drive one to the net. Lot's more shots directed at the net after the first it seemed.
If they keep up that level of play for the next 8 we should have a decent shot at the division.

Yup.

Jets as a team had something like a -10 Corsi for the first period and I know they were +17 in the 2nd.
Huge split.

Jets win and the PGT hardly has any posts.

If the Jets had lost all the people living under bridges would have been in attendance.

It's reall strange that we only see a lot of the posters when things are going bad.

I think that just goes to show you want kind of "fans" they truly are. I can think of one particular poster here that does this.

I was at the game this afternoon with a friend and we both had this bad feeling. Afternoon game, on CBC, the team has been playing like crap. We figured it was just not going to end well. The first period didn't help our mood either.

But, when Clitmore scored that first goal, and Welly the 2nd! Our mood changed drastically! The phone booth went nuts, and by the time Little scored that 4th goal we were delirious!

Man it's been so long since I felt good about the team. They weren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination but they fought their way back and prevailed!

I hope they can keep this momentum going.

Oh, and it almost brought a tear to my eye when Redmond got that standing O during the break. Great to see him back.

Glad to have Wright back on the ice - brings so much energy to the game. Burmi had a very simple, very effective game today. Hope that the results stick in his head, and he does more of the same going forward. I notice he got rewarded by Noel with a few 2nd line shifts for his effort.

A few people called out players for their lack of response to the chippy play by the Flyers - given that they have one of the stronger PP's, I'd prefer to look at it as being responsible.

More like this game, please!

While it was fun to see them score all those goals I am disappointed that they won. We could have locked ourself in for a top 7 pick with a loss. I don't think this team is making the playoffs, the only way we get in is if the caps play crappy since this team doesn't have it in them to go on a 6-2 run which is probably what it would take if the Caps keep playing solid like they are. We will end up with a crappy pick and nothing to show for it. I'm not being negative, just being realistic based on how they have played all year

I'm not just saying this because he scored a goal but Jets should consider signing Clitsome before he becomes a UFA this season. While he has propensity for free pizzas he is a solid #7 who can hold his own in the top 6.

Interesting to see what the Jets will do with that logjam at D. Enstrom, Byfuglien, Stuart are the only regular D that are signed for next year. I think we can agree that Bogosian is likely back. So...

Enstrom - Byfuglien
- Bogosian
Stuart -

RFA's are Redmond, Postma, and Kulda, UFA's are Hainsey and Clitsome as well as signed Trouba might slot in somewhere as well. Be interesting to see what we do.

Maybe...
Enstrom - Byfuglien
Kulda/Bogosian - Bogosian/Redmond
Stuart - Redmond/Trouba/Postma
Clitsome/Kulda
?
Of note only Trouba is not waiver eligible that will likely accept going to AHL.

Man I feel weird saying this but i really like Chevy's waiver pick ups. Most of them have been really good and above expectations. I really like Santorelli.

Lost all my Vcash on the Flyers winning, trying to reverse the jinx.. Thank goodness it worked:yo::sarcasm:
I lost all my vcash betting on the Jets, so for today I bet my 50 on the Flyers. Lost that too. Maybe I should bet against the Jets for the rest of the season. Then I could get to bet against them in the playoffs. :)

Today was a good day! The team gets a nice 2 day break then back at it Tuesday.

ONLY downside to today is the Caps won, but they have a tough schedule coming up and sooner or later Ovi will wear out as usual. I'll be cheering for the Lightning tomorrow and (ulgh) The Canadiens on Tuesday after I cheer for the Jets of course.

I thought we were done for after the first, but in the second the Jets started doing the things that bring them success - forechecking and tracking the puck in the O zone. When they get tenacious like that they always do well...I don't know why they forget that so often.

I think it's amazing what being in a good hockey market can do for a player. I can see it being very easy to lose sight of what a playoff team looks like when a player is down in Florida. Put them in a market with fans who care, and we usually find out why they were able to turn pro in the first place! Getting to where they are is no easy feat.

But it looks like we can't rely on the Panthers to give us any help... And if only the Jets had that killer instinct the Caps have right now.

The waiver wire is almost like our farm team. Chevy has mined it pretty well. Getting players for nothing is never a bad thing.

i'll eat crow and admit santorelli may not have been a bad pickup. i still think we might've done better, based on who else was moved for practically nothing, but he had some good jump to his game.

2nd period is the best period they've played that I can remember.

I really hope we re-sign Clitmore for next year.

Burmi strong yet again. Glad Noel is giving him linemates and ice time finally.

Not many passengers today which is nice to see. I really want to like Jokinen, but he makes it so hard...

Not when they play well like that it isn't.

It's VERY early to call this, but it seems as if Santorelli is making the best case he can for why Chevy should want him on the team again next year.

If he keeps playing like this, I don't mind.
