Never said that. Sure, there are legitimate areas of concern other than the the results of one game or another. There's a big difference between expressing those concerns now and then, and being seemingly sour on everything all the time. The former can be constructive. The latter is mostly just annoying to the rest of the fan community if it becomes a persistent posting pattern.

Yes it has. It's all about balance IMHO as long as a poster can see both sides of the coin with a team that wins about half it's games I would hope their posting would be about .500 but no doubt there are some who only see the good and some who only feel the need to discuss what is wrong. It reminds me of how Carlyle always looks mad......6 game losing streaks can be taxing for all of us but it is strange how "Kitty's Kids" seem to have gone away after a nice win? :sarcasm::laugh::laugh:

I guess whatever floats your boat and it doesn't make then less of a fan. our current level in the standings is about where we belong based on our talent level and depth And I "try" to manage my expectations accordingly and hit my goal once in a while.

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with complaining when your team is playing poorly. The problem arises with those individuals who ONLY chime in when things are going badly. They are like vultures waiting to pounce at any opportunity to be critical of the team. I'm highly suspicious of the motives of those folks - I generally assume they are just trolls who really don't care about the team at all and in fact probably predicted the franchise would fail and are just itching to have their prediction come true...

We all know people like this in our lives....They just walk around all day complaining about this and that with a grey cloud hovering above their heads. Must suck to be so grouchy and negative all the time

Has anyone else come to terms with the fact that we need to cheer for the Leafs to make it in order for us to as well?

They're playing the Rangers twice this week -> Devils -> Caps with only Montreal inbetween.

God that sucks.

Regardless of the outcome of the season (in or out of the playoffs) it was great to be able to be HAPPY about the game and the team!

I loved the Italian conversion at the beginning of the thread.
Someone should do a Godfather themed GDT with each Jet getting their MOB name. Evando Kanelli (if that was it) was the best!!! :handclap:

What was this deal with Hustler (Lawless) at yesterdays game, something about the jumbotron?

I am certainly guilty of becoming extremely p***** off when the team is losing and wanting to hammer out vitriolic posts. I suppose it's cathartic in some way, and an alternative to the only outlet available for this reaction back in the 1.0 days: screaming at your radio (or, 8 times a season, your TV)
But I think I also quite regularly post enthusiastic, supportive comments and observations particularly when the team is playing a competitive game. I honestly doubt any regular posters here are trolls; I think many highly passionate fans are simply apt to feel a need to express their frustration and disappointment in a bitter, sarcastic, reductive manner.

There's a few people I know like that. Blame everyone else but themselves for their fortune. To me adults shouldn't behave that way.

I think Hustler was shown on the kiss cam and he gave the finger.

They had him on the Kiss cam and if I recall correctly it took a while for a kiss to happen, I believe the woman was shy about it, but they stuck with him and she finally relented. As the kiss happened he gave the camera the finger. LOL

The win is nice I suppose. At least I lost all my vBookie cash so I'm back to the standard 50.

I'm not going to get too worked up for the rest of this season. One win means nothing unless there's another 6+ to go with it by the end of April 25th, and Washington trips over their Jonhsons repeatedly, which seems unlikely.

Haha, I felt sick to my stomach knowing I need to cheer for the Lightning, Leafs, and Canadians this week... YUCK.

To me it seems incredibly likely that whoever wins the Southeast Division would not have made the playoffs otherwise. I don't trust the Rangers or Islanders to really slow down enough for Winnipeg to catch them. I also do not really trust Washington against anyone outside of the Southeast. Seriously they're 8-14-2 outside of the SE, that's pretty bad. Guess they might make me eat crow soon though. So out of those all games I'd only REALLY root for them against the Caps. I guess beating the Rangers would be nice too though
