Good game, good effort, great result.

Just some thoughts

- IMO we have not seen the best of Vegas yet.
- The upside for the Jets is Vegas can't rely on their goaltending. Go to the net , get your shots thru, we will get the goals.
- Barron is lucky as hell with that cut he took.
- Still need Ehlers back
- We didn't need Helly to steal a game... still a solid effort in the net.
- Holding a team like Vegas to 17 shots, amazing.
- He will get better, but after the first shift it looked like Stone was going to die out there. Got to stay physical with him.
- It's just 1 game.

Have we seen the best out of the Jets yet?

Can't wait to hear Biznasty and Whit talk about the Leafs/Oilers losing and the Jets winning.
I know it's only one game, in the 1st round, and Vegas went on to win 4 straight last time we won Game 1 against them... But tonight was just such a solid all-around game from the whole team. Hard to not be excited after that.
Is Fluery coming back for this series? Only reason they beat us as they were out played in many games.

F*ck Vegas!!!

Great game by the Jets.

Wow. I'm speechless. They absolutely did what I never expected them to do and put in an amazing structural, physical and all team effort over 60 minutes, completely deserving to win this game. They held Vegas to SEVENTEEN shots at home in the playoffs - the home fans occasionally booing for the last 10 minutes tells you everything you need to know. This was a big surprise, not because the Jets won game 1 but because they absolutely dominated the Golden Knights. 17 SHOTS!!!! Wow! Vegas fewest shots over the entire 82 games regular season was 19!!!! Let that sink in!

Okay I'm gonna start watching the games live from now on. I'm a believer now, they convinced me. They're serious about getting this done. And we were without Ehlers and Perfetti which might come back (even though I'm not convinced we should bring Perfetti back but that's another discussion).

Game 2 will be a freaking battle from the first puck drop on. If Vegas doesn't come out flying and getting something in the first period, their fans might really turn on them. They absolutely need to score as early as possible and get a grab on this series. Brossoit looked like he always did when with us: Very decent but not on a quality starting goaltender kind of level.

That's cause I don't know shit all about hockey, I just like to watch it.

Tonite was fabulous! Gnite all.

I don't know about that - I like some of your thoughts on the game. They seemed pretty insightful. :)

Do people forget this team had a great record with Cole in the lineup and a shit one with him out.

Cole can play Bones hockey and was playing 17 minutes a game for us prior to his injury. You play your best players enough said.
Sure, but it wasn't playoff hockey. You could say similar great things about the Golden Knights game based on their 82 game regular season - apparently, it's not necessarily worth that much when the puck drops and it says "Game 1" on the upper left corner.

I am not saying Cole can't play in Game 2, I'm just not convinced that he'll bring two new players into the team after this outstanding team effort. He'll likely only bring one more player into the team and that is without question Ehlers before Perfetti. Perfetti Maybe in Game 3 or 4 at home, depending on what happend up until then.

Perfetti isn't going to be ready until game 5 so thats not the issue. The issue is playing him when he's healthy and Bones was trusting him more then Nik when his injury happened.

I expect Ehlers to be back next game or at the latest game 3. So you can likely stagger putting integrating them back into the lineup.

Also we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. It's one game and we took the first one against them back in 17-18 as well and we all know how that turned out. We very well might need a talent infusion later this series.
