It's a problem. But the "don't look here, look there" distractions are completely intentional.

That's 17 million dollars worth of players in Bratt and Meier and people want to write 12 pages about Erik Haula

That’s great that bratt puts up points legit great but like every other core player they just don’t scream leader no one on this team has leadership qualities. I know the Nico fanboy club will attack me for that but just disappointing lack of heart again
 
My point on Bratt and Meier is it's not just "the bottom 6 ". It's not just depth scoring. Top to bottom there are just too many guys not getting it done.

I mean it’s kind of a bad look when he plays comptently right before the deadline then plays like he had a fanduel bet on Winnipeg third period goals tonight after he was not traded and Kovacevic was extended.

I mean to be fair it’s all a problem. Who was responsible for the Meier trade and giving him that contract? And it’s not exactly a new thing that these guys disappear for long stretches, particularly when Jack goes down or they face adversity. To have a roster that relies this much on them offensively is nuts. Also, who is responsible for not having a single sniper or natural goal scorer on the entire roster? Our best shooter is an aging slow D-man.

The game was already gone after the first goal, who cares about a benching in preseason game time at that point?

I’d have gone the other way and made him play every last shift in the third to protect the other defensemen who at least give a damn before I dressed him down in the locker room and banished him to the AHL

Being bad is one thing, straight up not competing is unforgivable imo

Ding ding ding

I was so high on this team in Nov and Dec and even myself posted something like “great win! Now give me two forwards Fitz” after every win in the GDTs. I know its hard to make moves in season but its been needed the entire season. I was hoping for some shrewd moves like what Lou did in 2012

It's more than them being clowns after 2023 and listening to what everyone said. We clowned NYR for years after the Tom Wilson thing and they got Reaves. We legit did the same thing after 2023 Carolina and Rempe last year......
