Signing Kovy today only made sense if Nemec was moving today as well. Fitz is so god damn stupid....I'm at a loss for how more people don't realize it.

They are predictably gonna end up selling incredibly low on a malcontent this summer....when every team knows you don't value him since you locked up 3 RD long term to begin with. This is such an asinine take. It assumes that there are 2 teams in the league. Why would another team give a shit that the Devils have 3 RHD signed long-term? How do they know anything about what the Devils' plans are with Hamilton?

If you want Nemec (or Casey), and you're another GM, you offer what you think he is worth. If you offer less than what you think he is worth, chances are you won't get him, because someone else will have offered more. Players who are drafted top 5, even in weak drafts, are rare, and teams will be interested.

A player like Nemec is at his lowest value at the trade deadline, when teams have the most amount of cap room and have the least desire for a player who is not a finished product.

That's the thing though, by all accounts from Keefe to posters here he actually wasn't shit the last few games of the road trip. At this point, it's almost as if he was relieved he was about to get traded out of here, then when he didn't get traded and the GM tightened the screws by signing Kovacevic he said f*** you all and is going through the motions now.

Fitz has 2 guys on LTIR giving him an extra 10 mill in cap space to get someone that would actually help this team so this is what he does gets these bums that will only make the team worse .... incredible .... the rest of the league is laughing their asses off I assure you
