I didn't mean it as an insult, I'm saying they've been tracking to be this type of team for a while. They made an effort to get heavier in the bottom 6 after the series loss to Carolina and this is the end result.

They look disillusioned.

Goaltending is finally stabilized.

I didn't want to go down this path with Keefe cause I'm already exhausted today but reading more about his deal with Wes McCauley it seems like he's got a ton of skeletons in his closest and was quite the shit bag. Maybe he's changed but it gave me the ick.

Yup. Defense is good, goaltending is pretty solid too, top end too. The fix is pretty simple. About 30 goals isn’t enough from a bottom-6 to be successful.

We’re doing the same thing we did the last how many years. Our goaltending duo is old and not known for playing great in consecutive years. Our D has been better this year but we’re assuming that holds for another year with guys like Kova could just easily become John Marino 2.0 next year, Dillon who’s only one step slower from becoming Brandan Smith 2.0, and Dougie another year older and slower. And of course assuming that Fitz can fix the scoring woes on the front end without allowing other parts of the team to go to shit.

Not making that mistake again. Zero expectations for this group going forward.
