Chance to tie it up on the PP, and pure garbage. Why is Appleton out to start the PP?

Good question - probably the same reason we have KC and his one timer playing below the goal line with Wheels as the right side shooter.
They cheated on Scheif so he had zero room for anything - and they allow the point muffins all day long.

Yup, just not really much in the way of good tactics these days.

Our record of 2-7 against the Oilers this year suggests this was not an anomaly. Even when we play the "right way", we're not the winning team. This is not a slump, they just find the way to beat us and we have no answers.

BTW, in those 2 wins, we were only leading by a goal going into the last minute. We've also allowed a lot of goals in the last minute of periods against them, so we were by no means safe. We barely won.
Yes it's a slump even if the Oilers are the better team the just are still slumping 5 straight losses is a slump.

Has Wheeler yelled at anyone in the post game availability yet?

‘Paul is the finest man I know!! You guys don’t understand how hard winning a cup is... I have it almost my all out there’

Not gonna win when your strategy involves your goalie making big saves to keep it close and certainly not gonna win if you can't score more than 1 goal.

Bench Scheif. Bring up Perfetti

I wouldn't bench Scheif, but I certainly would bring up Perfetti. We need goal scorers right now, especially with Ehlers out of the lineup. It can't hurt to give him a look. He's scoring well for the Moose, and picking the top and bottom corners of the net, is the same in both leagues.

Game has gone into the crapper. No offense generated at all. Injuries are not helping.

What galls me is the 2 superstar and a bunch of blah roster make a better team than the super deep Jets team. Even worse they have a vastly superior defense. The Oilers.

Winter is Coming
I've heard from lots of ppl that buff and Wheeler never got along real well and the more I hear Blake speak the more I see why. Buff was so chill and fun loving. Wheels is pissy and seems to really dislike constructive criticism.

No surprise this team hasn't been the same since buff retired. The fun loving big guy is gone. Jets look like they aren't having fun out there.

Power play is way too static and no Canon from the point, I'd go back to 2 d and 3 forwards so Schef and Wheels don't waste it standing in the corner.

I agree, we have no cannon from the point, like we had with Buff, Myers and Trouba, and it makes our power play easy to defend against. Teams just cover the low guys, and leave the back end open, as it's no threat.

Counting on a 19 year old to save your offense isn't a plan that it likely to work. It took him a good 15 AHL games to really get up to speed and start to dominate. We don't have the runway left to allow him the same type.of development arc here.
