Yup, people need to realize this baby back bitch needs to agree to sign a contract with the team that trades for him. He essentially has a NTC.The Cutter Gauthier effect.

Hi Benny nice to see/hear from you, its been too long.Yup, people need to realize this baby back bitch needs to agree to sign a contract with the team that trades for him. He essentially has a NTC.
Gauthier signed with Ducks, who aren't exactly a top tier organization right now. These kids just want to get in the NHL and get the clock ticking towards free agency.Yup, people need to realize this baby back bitch needs to agree to sign a contract with the team that trades for him. Laine is so talented, but yet seems to be carrying some baggage. If he gets his head on straight what a player he could be.I was always a big Laine fan and I do love guys that can shoot the puck. It's sad to see him fade like he has. So much more potential than what he has shown. Especially in the last season or two.
I don't see the Jets making that move. Not even sure if the Habs do it.

He is worth the risk..............that said we have no idea on what the Jackets deem his value?
The Habs are still talking to the Jets, so they say.................McGroarty is obviously the target, but Chevy has the leverage so to speak.

I just took my medecine, It was such a crazy proposal to offer a 4-5 Dman and a 3-4th line center for a 2C in the future. Now my offer is a 5th round and Jake Evans. FinalAre you insane?
Please tell me this is a joke proposal.
College was likely an empty threat until Chevy called his bluff
jets wanted to sign himi'm confused. How is it an empty threat if the Jets didn't want to sign him? That is actually his only option.
The organization does want to sign him and turn him pro (AHL or NHL). Rutger refused because the AHL is likely where he would land. His option at this point is AHL or college, he chose the latter.i'm confused. How is it an empty threat if the Jets didn't want to sign him? That is actually his only option.

Got it. sorry, I thaught he wanted to sign but the Jets wanted him to play one more season in the NCAA. my bad. carry onjets wanted to sign him
He can’t attend camp without the ELC. That’s what college commitment does.Cold take here
Rutger will go to Jets camp and end up making the team and their problems will both be solved
Well he is not coming to rookie development camp next week so there is that .....Cold take here

Bad value for the Jets IMO.Jets fans let me know if value is crazy off on this because these situations are tough to read sometimes, but:
Necas + 2025 2nd for Ehlers + McGroarty
Add whatever is needed on either side to even it out but… feels to this Canes fan like there’s value for both sides here?
Necas and Ehlers are a wash.
RM is worth a lot more than a 2nd.
Bad value for the Jets IMO.
