Missed the early part of the game, but the post game show said Scheifele got into a fight with Tkachuk ? Just wondering how he did in that fight, as Tkachuk is a tough customer.

Hockey back feels so good. Especially after my crap Braves broke nearly every offensive record in the regular season just to be ousted by their kryptonite in Harper and the Phills. Onto hockey and football now!

Didn't say it was, I said that it's stupid to have Pionk on the ice in these situations as he gets scored on more than any player in the league when down a man. Scheifele could also take some blame there being up at the blue line checking the same player as Vilardi. Regardless of fault on this individual goal the recurring theme is that if the other team has more players on the ice and Pionk is on they're more likely to score.

Loved everything about that game outside the last 5 minutes. I hate the bunker defend style and that is what we went to and it nearly bit us. But all in all another real good game by the team.

Helle was better tonight but still has another level in him.

JoMo was beating and DeMelo was very good. Morrissey looks poised for another Norris caliber year.

Pionk/Snerg - another solid night for this pairing. Snerg just compliments Pionk's game quite well.

Dillion/Schmidt - A whole lot of meh from this pairing I thought.

Top line: Conner and Scheifele were flying out there. Vilardi was a bit quieter then the first game but still was solid.

Second line: Cole looked much more comfortable going forward tonight. Made a heads up pass on DeMelo's goal. Ehlers and Nino played real well as well and the line could have had a couple more. They crushed their matchups once again.

Third line: Did their best work on the PK imo. Were solid but not great 5 on 5.

Fourth line: Kupari is really growing on me. Future 3C imo. Barron was good and name was ok.

Onto next game.

Chef was pissed about the reverse hit Chucky put on him. Wasn’t much of a fight, as Bambi tripped and dragged him down with him. I love the fire coming from 55. I want that consistently.

Joshua would of made a great captain but today's game reenforced the reason why I thought Lowry needed to be the captain of this team.

Jets played another strong game. Really liked aspects of all 4 lines.

Pionk and Samberg had another stellar game 5v5. Pionk has been on ice for only 0.24 xG against 5v5 in the 1st two games.

Dillon and Schmidt have been the weakest pair and Morrissey has occasionally pressed forward in his zone a bit too aggressively.

I don't put much stock into evaluating 6v5 situations. Lots of random plays and bounces.

Refs really came on strong in the 3rd and started to dictate play...

IMO, Lowry should have been the 1st star. That play to make it 5-2 was freaking awesome!

The Reffing was Garbage in the 3rd.

This is following his AHL start at C to a t. Getting used to the positioning and defensive responsibilities. I thought he was more involved offensively then last game. To be fair the line didn't get a tonne of ice time with all the penalties.

Coles numbers are very strong. That line will get better as well.

Yeah, very entertaining. The Morrissey stick assist was fun and the Kupari play ahead of the Barron goal was otherworldly.

If Kupari keeps dishing like that to Barron, Barron will have to build Kup’ a sauna or something..
