I'm always happy about a win.

But I did notice that they didn't seem to be able to handle a speedy, pushback kind of a team.

It seems like every time in the 3rd that the Jets got the puck, the Avs' were all over them and all they could do was dump the puck.

Of course, Georgiev playing like a Vezina-candidate didn't help matters any. Funny how a .822 goalie can play up against one team at times.

Hopefully Arniel can review the game and figure out some kind of response. You have to figure other teams will try to emulate what the Avs did last night.

Wow I’ve never seen so much negativity about a win. This is the best start to a season IN NHL HISTORY!!

You know the Jets will lose some games this year right?
Totally agree, we have one of , if not, the best goalies in the league and they have one of the best players and best defenseman in the league and they couldn't score a single goal. We pay Helly alot of money so i don't understand the angst when one of our best players plays so well we win . If we won 6-4 and Connor scored 4 goals how is that any different? This is a very, very good TEAM, enjoy it people.

The Avs speed, and how aggressively they use to it pressure, definitely gave us troubles.

We looked a lot more human last night. But we found a way and that's always a good sign.

What a start to the year, my goodness.

I really hope the Jets can pull off at least one more win and make history so this incredible start can never be forgotten. Last time they had a shot at that type of thing, they blew it against the Leafs.

I think there's a bit of recency bias going on, here.

Yes, the Avs did have significant time in this game where they had the Jets hemmed and scrambling a bit.

The Jets also had plenty of grade As that they didn't convert on. Georgiev also had himself a game.

It certainly wasn't the best the Jets have played but even through the Avs pressure the Jets structure, sticks, lanework was really good. For me that was the biggest difference between this Jets team and the one that got destroyed in the playoffs. (That and of course Helles play)

There is work to be done, though. The Avs operate quite similarly to the Jets offensively, putting the puck behind the d, getting first to battles, pinching aggressively.

Arniel will need to figure out what the team needs to do to counter that.

Mackinnon is such an incredible player. I think I'd take him over McDavid to be honest. That top line is scary to watch.

Though we spent far too much time in our zone, I feel like the Jets showed a lot of maturity last night.

Most enjoyable game. Bit of a statement from Helle I think, though we need him to prove that in the playoffs rather than the regular season. Definitely put his team on his back and said "not today".

Credit to the Avs, they played very well though I don't think you can discount Georgiev playing out of his mind either.

I'm actually pleased with the game beyond winning. The Jets didn't cave to immense pressure but more importantly this was a really good look at the Avs playing their best game against us. We got hemmed in for sure and Arniel and his crew are going to have to figure it out if we want to have a chance against the Avs in the playoffs. Certainly don't want them in the first round again.

Take away the Jets playoff performance last year and lets face it that's when it really counts the Jets are on one hell of a regular season super heater. Keep the wins coming this a ride I don't want to see end.
May never see a start to the season like this ever again by the Jets, need to totally enjoy it and take it all in. We are.......

I think most of our fans seem to have a greatly increased confidence in Arniel to make those in game, period-to-period adjustments. It's something we were missing.

Avs picked us apart so bad last year it's hard to have an objective look at them when they play us. Every low-high point shot I find myself flinching

Well it looked like last years playoffs all over again. Not very encouraging. But a win is a win. Hope we dont run into them in the playoffs.
It's good for the team to know even if we are 13-1, we still have a lot we can work to improve!
