You mean like Georgiev did in this game?
This actually makes the game look not that badView attachment 927705
This is frickin wild. They played exceptional defense and couldn't generate anything against the Avs.
It was still a shut-out, so that's a win, but this isn't a one-time thing. Colorado's game is speed, it's one of our few weaknesses. Our first line didn't match up well against them in the playoffs either, our scoring lines' strengths were erased and Colorado took advantage of their weaknesses frequently. We'll have to adapt.View attachment 927705

If you think saying it has any effect on the result then you're not the brightest bulb in the bunch.Just replied to a crass DM from @Tasteless Beaver
I thought it was universally known that you don't say "shutout" when a goalie is working on a shutout in hockey...
Do people not know this?
This matches the eye test that Schiefele and Vilardi were the 2 best forwards tonight.View attachment 927705

From my eye test, our lack of offense was rooted in not being able to exit our zone with the puck and then being too disconnected with puck support in the o zone to build sustained pessureView attachment 927705

I understand that saying "shutout" is a no-no in hockey mythology, but we can have fun with it. I mean if we all spammed that Helle is going to get a shutout every game, would he magically get no shutouts in a season?Just replied to a crass DM from @Tasteless Beaver

Jets will learn from this.Jets got the W, but without Helly that was definitely a tick in the loss column.
Played well the first half of the game, then Colorado pushed and the Jets just couldn't keep up.
Of course it doesn't, but that's not the point lolIf you think saying it has any effect on the result then you're not the brightest bulb in the bunch.
Pretty crazy that we've reached a point where we say we'll learn from a disappointing shutout winJets will learn from this.

It's a time honored tradition and something that people JOKE about. I know the idea of JOKING about things are is tough to wrap your head around
They sure sure do play the top line a ton - be nice to avoid these guys in the first round - I can see that group slowing down through the playoffs (at least a bit). But that is one crazy good line that can shift into top gear in a blink - and that's what throws most apposing teams back on their heels.I didn't feel like Colorado outplayed us as a team, just seemed like their top players outclassed our entire team. That's what makes me uncomfortable, they don't have the depth right now but they still looked like the better team.
