Yup, it boggles my mind that there's even a debate about Skinner. This is what we all knew when he signed his contract:

Last year we paired him with one of the best transition players in the league and he had a career year.
This year we've paired him with a bunch of guys that never get the puck to his area of strength and wonder what the problem could be, while throwing around digs about his contract and what he should be doing based on his contract value
I've said this about players in multiple sports, but give me a player with an elite skillset and a good coach should be capable of weaponizing it, almost regardless of his flaws.
The point that the analytics people ( okay, okay... person) in Buffalo haven't noticed the territorial and shot advantage they had with the Skinner-Larsson-Sheary line back in December. It's the only line with positive shot metrics for and against in the last 25 games.
Edmonton fans said Ralph was stubborn. We continue to see it.
