In fairness to Sutter too, Gaudreau still raves about Sutter to this day as basically the coach that got the most out of him.

Western Alberta is simply way too far away from "home" for Gaudreau and especially I'm guessing his wife. They didn't want to raise their child away from family and friends, and fair enough.

And with Gaudreau out, Tkachuk wasn't going to stay.

Not much Sutter could do with that. McDavid is Canadian and there are no German NHL teams for Drai to run off too and both of their gfs are Canadian, so that isn't the same situation with us.
