So both cars are going 80km … the car in front decides to break abruptly, causing the car behind him to hit him.

Are you blaming the second car then?
No offense, but it might do you some good to get in a rear-end accident.

You are under the mistaken impression that if you are the second car in your scenario, that you aren't somehow going to get the ticket AND foot the insurance bill.

Nothing helps educate the uneducated like real world experience.

Did I? Last I checked the major was downgraded to a minor, and no league penalty is coming out of the play, and it’s more than likely because Carlo decided to stop abruptly and put himself in that position with Benn trailing right behind him.
With your comparison, yes. It was not good homie

I will say my comparison wasn’t the strongest because like the hit, it’s about perspective and situational based.

my comparison was based on experience/knowledge, but I also know of the 2nd car being at fault in other experiences. Again … poor comparison due to it being situational based.

I’ll take the L here.

It was a weird comparison to make, and low hanging fruit which is why a few guys jumped on it, myself included. We can differ on opinion with the hit itself. I have no problem with that. I respect your stance even if it’s not the way i saw it. Props to you for your handling of the situation

Carlo brought this hit upon himself. He stopped up 5 feet before the boards with a player on his back.

I'm going to echo @TD Charlie here. I pitch L's often and try my best to take them when they come -- I admire others who do the same.

I'm just glad that Carlo ended up ok. He's had some significant concussions and I was worried last night.

Outside of that -- congrats on the ass kicking last night. Not sure what is wrong with my B's (well, I actually have a list) but Woof!!!!

p.s. Can we have your draft/scout team please?

Twitter comments saying Carlo was "trying to reverse hit him" lmao?????????

People are braindead man.

This should be a multiple game suspension.
I just don't understand why anyone would use Twitter anymore except maybe to troll idiots and have a laugh

I think Benn is a dirty dbag but this wasn’t a dirty play. The Bruins dman tried to stop and set a pick/block his path and he got plowed.

yea. 2 minute minor for that. Same as accidentally flipping the puck over the glass. Ha!

🤣
Not nice to laugh at Carlo, he can't help being dumb.

The first car can be at fault if it's proven they stopped for no reason. Dash cams pick this sort of thing up regularly.

Bad hit, but I don't like the "put the brakes on" in front of him play. He could have have picked up the puck and taken a hit as he turned, but he put on the brakes in a "Haha, you can't hit me" play. Did he think the separation was much closer and was going for a reverse bump? It makes no sense to do that. Still, recognize your positioning and don't push or hit somebody like that. 2 minutes and nothing more.

That’s the important thing in all of this for sure.

Also, only if you tell Lindholm to pick it up because I believed in him this year to put up career numbers … and well … he’s sucking (fantasy wise at least).

Parros would've offered Benn a phone hearing, but he wants to keep his line clear until he hears back from his doctor as it's been more than four hours.

The only reason we don't see hits like this 10x more often is because most players don't randomly shut off their survival instincts like this.

This is the hockey equivalent of a person getting rear ended because they slammed on their brakes to avoid hitting a squirrel. It's technically the person following who is at fault, but it should be recognized that it's hard to account for idiotic decisions made by others 100% of the time.
