unfortunately, we have won too much already to be in this conversation. Anaheim has won 1 game in regulation for the past month, we aren't nearly bad enough.
Accrued lottery luck anyone. Let it all be for something good? I promise I won't hope for another lottery win for another 15 years. Hell, a top three pick this year would have me attempting back flips.

Honestly a top 3 pick would be a miracle and gift from the hockey gods.

After 31 games the Ducks have only accumulated 19 standing points. That's on pace to finish with 50 points in the standings, 5 fewer than Montreal had with last season. That's Avs in 2017 level bad.

I feel like how our roster is constructed we are in NHL purgatory. Not bad enough for a top elite lottery pick and not good enough to compete with the elite teams...

lets goooo!!

Welcome back Vrana! I'm guessing he'll need a bit of time here before we see him in a game, but this is great news.

It will be a major moral booster for the team. After this length of time it’s going to be a long rehab stint however. It might be a month or more before he’s back to his level of play

Maybe, or maybe the injuries prove to be too much, and the hockey gods grant us an opportunity to move up 10 spots. We should have some equal karma stored up after watching the Rangers leap frog us after making the 'playoffs.'

I mean, the roster was constructed on the assumption that all our injured/unavailable players would not be injured/unavailable. Fully healthy this team was pretty clearly capable of a divisional playoff spot. And that's before the integration of Edvinsson and Kasper which will hopefully take us a step further up. And any other FA/trade acquisitions in the coming couple seasons.

This year's roster was designed to get us closer to the compete window which realistically is probably 2 years out.

We haven't seen anyhow the best team yet. Can't wait for that to happen. And would like to see at least 20-game stint with healthy roster, where we really are and what we could be.
