Jacob Trouba sneaky elbow strikes again. Amazing how the refs only gave a 2 minutes on this one. I have no idea how he wasn't kicked out of the game... I guess Trouba's reputation as a "squeaky clean player" came through for him here. Joke of a call by the refs.

Lol. There was nothing sneaky about it.

Jesus, that leadership! Kids need to watch this defenseman to learn how to play the position the right way. It's never too early learn how to get your arms up high on another player, elbow first. I sure hope he doesn't get suspended for this clean hockey elbow.

Never forget. Trouba concussed Crosby to giftwrap the Rags the win against Pens in the playoffs. He did it with a WINGED out Elbow too. Going into Game 5, Pens were leading the series 3-1. Trouba takes out Crosby with INTENT, rags come all the way back and take it in 7.

At the time people thought it was an accident. I didn’t buy it then and I definately don’t buy it now.

There should be no surprise and no question what he was trying to do to Necas earlier these playoffs, and now this play. The winged elbow was deliberate attempt to take out a player, as it was when he took out Crosby. This is him making an impact in the playoffs.

Can someone find out if Rodriguez’s shoulder is ok, since that’s where the contact was.
Initially, that’s why he wasn’t given a major. But elbow connected with his side of his head jaw area after hitting the shoulder. People saying that was a dive are missing that part. He was definitely stunned by it.

Looking at all of the Rags fans embracing and defending this guy is just embarrassing
No one is defending him. And while it wasn't a penalty that was probably more luck than anything.

Exactly. But it was his arm not his elbow. Unfortunately the NHL doesn't care about player safet or ALL head hits would be suspendable regardless of inital point of contact.

Dude is a piece of shit, the amount of elbows he throws is gross and he isn't a good player. Sieve.

The Rangers win despite him, not because of him. Shesty makes up for his shitiness.

Geez he really slung that elbow out there. Had to really reach and stretch to make sure it reached the head.
Give him one game for the elbow and an additional game for targeting Rodriguez instead of Tkachuk.

Trouba is a pee wee head contact compared to Bennett punch to Marchand jaw. Karma my friend.
What was your take on Kulikov hit on Wennberg?

When you defend head shot, shirt should not get into the analysis.
