Game 53. Elvis starts. I'll sacrifice my well-being and get the relevant things from Twitter:

It's NOT Lane Pederson's first game as a Jacket but they did post this:

A bit of a tease when he's not in the lineup. Shame, would've been interesting to watch him a bit. Otherwise I think the question is how much worse can this get today with Elvis in net compared to yesterday...

Who cares about this Pederson guy?? Isn't this like his fifth organization by the age of 25?

Foreshadowing lol

:laugh:They're sending out a goalie making his first start of the year.....or he's some guy from a beer league; won't really matter....

Well, if we ignore the fact that there's not much other excitement about the game anyways, there's a bigger picture here - if Pederson does well, it would increase the chances of sending Sillinger and possibly others down to the Monsters, where they could get valuable AHL playoff experience. So Pederson + some other players acquired now/soon/at TDL would help achieve that.

Also Woll is a good Leafs goalie prospect, I'm sure it's on purpose but he might actually be good.

Elvis looked like a batter expecting a change up and saw a fastball instead.

Was it off Blankenburg or did he beat Elvis cleanly? Apparently CBC is still struggling at showing slow-mo replays of the goals immediately...

Rims just said Korpi made a good play. :propeller

This has all the makings of a 5-1 game

2-0 TOR Bunting. From the circle a quick shot, short side, it's a potentially tough shot because it's so close to the shoulder and helmet but... Elvis needs to make some saves here.

Not a big fan of Gavrikov deciding to shoot from the blueline to end that O-zone pressure against completely gassed TOR line earlier.

Similarly Laine's shot earlier was pretty useless after an otherwise good effort (and it lead to the first goal). Feels like we haven't scored on these long blue line shots in ages and more often than not it hits a defender instead. But can our guys make multiple passes in a row that connect, I don't know... Edit: We are getting some offensive chances like the Gaudreau failed shot, and finally a good shot by Johnson.

While KJ failed to control the puck, that goal was teed up by Elvis wanting to play the puck and waiting too long, allowing Toronto to converge and swarm our outlets

Honestly, I did a 3 way parlay tonight with the Leafs covering the spread at -1.5.

Easy choice after watching how the last night played out. They have decided to embrace the tank after the break.
