He looks like he's shooting on the PP just so that he can say he did something. It's generally not in the same zipcode as the net. There was a time when he would score a lot like that. Whether it's confidence or some sort of anxiety I don't know but it just looks like he's shooting just so he can look like he's contributing.

Devils board hilariously keeps saying how much Quick sucks. The funny thing is they've literally not lost a game in regulation with Quick in net. So ok, if Quick sucks I guess the Rangers are good?

By my count Quick has given up one bad goal and has had 0 bad games but what do I know?

Kind of a mess of a game, especially early in the 2nd period, but great 3rd and finish. Gustafsson has been even better than I expected he would be. So pivotal to have that 2nd wave of attack no only from Fox but now Gustafsson. Panarin line is carrying this team.

So I was thinking about something interesting. The Rangers are 11-0-1 in games where they're not down by multiple goals in third period. They have been down by 1 goal in 4 games in the third I believe and are 3-0-1. If the Rangers have kept it close in the third they won almost every time.

devils defense in general is pretty terrible. they haven’t had a single game giving up one or fewer goals. 7 of our games, literally half of the 14 games we’ve played, we’ve given up one or fewer goals. their offense is dynamic and terrifying, but holy shit their defensive game is not sustainable. defense and goaltending is the last thing they should be talking shit about with anyone.

Its great to see Alexis come into his own over the last few games and to finally be given the right opportunity to do so...I know its only been a few games / hot streak but he very much has it within him and poses the ability to play within that level on nightly bases. Hopefully he will be able to keep this up...

You should have seen this place after our last regulation loss against the Predators. There was literally an argument about how it's better to be the Oilers that missed the playoffs 10 years in a row than his horrible team that makes the playoffs every year because there's no way they're ever winning a cup.

1. That was a goal. I’m not one to blame the refs, but holy shit, that was clearly in. The refs were terrible tonight even outside of that call.

2. Laf is playing with a boatload of confidence and it’s great to see.

3. Cuylle and Kakko could really cook with Chytil in the middle. That line would own the boards and take it to the net.

4. I don’t understand taking a line that likes to create off the rush and inserting the slowest skater we have on it. I think I might prefer Jimmy f***ing Vesey to Wheeler on the top line.

When Kakko was there how many times was he part of the 2 on 1? Mika and Kreids know when to anticipate those opportunities. The third guy is irrelevant.
