I think you're overestimating the amount of "toughness" it takes to stick your leg out and hit someone knee to knee.

I doubt this gets any supplemental discipline. Why? Because it so obviously deserves supplemental discipline.

You can tell from the second angle he was trying to get him with his upper body more than he did. The fact that his upper body goes back and down faster than his lower should show that he put a lot of his force into the body. Both players legs sticking out so far made it look worse than it was.

Typically, bad knee on knees have the guy who got hit flying forward, not backward.

Don't think it's dirty. Just think it shows that Jack Hughes is pretty inept. He's only 18 and will surely grow as a player. But for stretches this season he's looked horrible. He should be in the AHL not thrust onto a bottom feeding team.
