McDavid set Drai up for a chance that hit the post, and also had a clean shot from the slot, both in the 3rd, and that's just from the highlights.

Neither Eichel or McDavid were at their best in this game so no point for useless remarks like "Eichel outshines McDavid"...

Well you said McDavid created 0 scoring chances and said that the guy didn't watch the game.

I'm just calling out the fact that the highlights package alone shows he created 2 at the minimum.

Close to 320 games each and McDavid is over 120 points ahead.

Extra marks if you try and convince me the Oilers have a better team.

Difference is this year, Jack is finally using his speed to his advantage. Previous years his favourite play was to slow the game down and feed teammates while crawling or standing still. It was infuriating to watch knowing he had world class speed.

This year he is ramping it up way more. He should have been doing this all along.

Call my cynical but I don't trust a small sample size. That sample size still shows him as behind McDavid too.

It's been an occasionally frustrating experience for Sabres fans, but Eichel has steadily improved each season. I believe he still upside.

One wonders what might have been had Buffalo taken Draisaitl at #2 in 2014, instead of the "safe pick" Reinhart.

Lololol this isn't necessarily directly you but either Draisaitl leaches off Connor or he's the reason why Connor is doing so well.

As for the thread, Eichel has always had the tools just didn't put it together for an extended period. Hope he does hockey is better with everyone at their best

McDavid's production has always been great, but it definitely has improved further with Draisaitl getting better.

MacKinnon is clearly a level above eichel

I don't agree with that. I'd argue that MacKinnon is better right now, but in no way is it an entire "level" as you've put it. Eichel has a higher career PPG due to MacKinnon having a down year and a bit early on in his career.

With MacKinnon being older and having two extra years of experience on Eichel, I don't think it's that farfetched to assume that Jack will have a similar 2-year breakout that MacKinnon went through from 2017-18 and 2018-19. In fact, I think they are arguably a closer comparison than Eichel and Matthews are. Eichel and MacKinnon both excel in terms of scoring, playmaking, and transition offence. They would be both be in my Hart ballot if the season ended today.

Eichel isn't even close to being top 10 lol. You guys have to be joking. He's in the 30-40 range lol. People who just look at the points are being deceived. I could name 20 right off the bat with no hesitation and no one would even bat an eye. Anyone who thinks he's top 10 or even close to it is OVERRATING him badly.
